With the return of 2013 special guest Poh Ling Yeow, event organisers The Brand Clinic are also delighted to welcome one of Australia's most acclaimed and endearing personalities in Chef, Author and Educator Stephanie Alexander to the official festival program.

Poh Ling Yeow said the Great Southern region was a visually stunning place blessed with amazing produce, and a wonderful community of growers.

"The events at the festival were brimming with community spirit and the food was magnificent," Yeow said.

Also participating in 2014 are some of WA's best loved food personalities including Anna Gare, Dan Sharp and Sophie Zalokar. It's anticipated that more than 45 individual events will be hosted at participating vineyards, restaurants and public venues - ranging from farmers markets, guest chef cooking demonstrations, degustation dinners, beach barbecues and picnics as well as stunning performances from the 2014 Perth International Arts Festival repertoire. The vast Great Southern region extends from Walpole's tall timber country in the west to Hopetoun's turquoise waters in the east and from Katanning's rolling farmland in the north to historic Albany in the south. In between, a fascinating array of natural wonders such as the Porongurup and Stirling Ranges, Valley of the Giants, West Cape Howe, Wilson Inlet, Oyster Harbour and much more can be found.

Mount Barker, Frankland River, Denmark, Porongurup and Albany sub-regions have forged a great reputation for producing wines of the highest quality. In recent years they have taken the nation's wine shows by storm with exceptional riesling, chardonnay, shiraz, cabernet and pinot noir. The region also prides itself on a diverse range of fresh produce such as berries, olive oils, cherries and asparagus, as well as lamb, beef, venison, poultry, trout, marron and yabbies.
