Idaho Division of Tourism

Imagine six marvelous golf resorts, five scenic byways, four river corridors, three gorgeous lakes and two National Recreation Areas all in one incredible vacation. That is the Idaho Golf Trail, set to launch in the spring of 2004. The Idaho Golf Trail is a new marketing cooperative that brings together the Idaho Travel Council (the states tourism marketing organization) and the golf resorts of Hidden Lakes, Sandpoint; The Coeur d Alene Resort, Coeur d Alene; Circling Raven, Worley; Whitetail Club, McCall; Sun Valley Resort, Sun Valley and BanBury Golf Club, Eagle. Idaho joins a growing list of states like Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana, Maryland, Oregon, and North Dakota that have established statewide golf trails. We have seen what the others have done and improved on the concept, says Carl Wilgus, State Tourism Director for Idaho. In addition to great golf, our trail has some of the finest resort accommodations and amenities in the West, more than 500 miles of scenic byways and river corridors and a reservation service that will provide individual attention to each inquiry. The Idaho Golf Trail will allow the true golf enthusiast to play six very distinct and unique courses in six days, or have the option of playing the Northern loop of Hidden Lakes, Coeur d Alene and Circling Raven, or the Southern loop of Sun Valley, Whitetail and BanBury each in a shortened three-day golf tour. No matter what you chose youre sure to have a memorable experience where the drives between the courses will be as beautiful as the drives on the course. To assist in arranging accommodations and tee times, the services of InIdaho, a specialized reservation service, have been enlisted. With a staff of eight people, InIdaho is able to give every caller the individual attention they deserve. For more information on the Idaho Golf Trail please contact Carl Wilgus, Idaho Department of Commerce (208) 334-2470.
