HOTEL BEACON REVEALS BEACON BAR, AN ELEGANT COCKTAIL LOUNGE ON NEW YORK'S UPPER WEST SIDE

NEW YORK, 27 MAY 2013- Hotel Beacon, Upper West Side's most popular home away from home, has opened the doors to its long-anticipated Beacon Bar.

Designed by the team at Schefer Design LLC under the direction of Hotel Beacon's owners and General Manager, the bar's grand opening was many months in the planning and delivery.

Just four weeks after opening its doors, Beacon Bar is already attracting after-work and late-night regulars. The bar has been embraced by hotel guests and locals alike.

Open from 11.30am-midnight Sunday-Wednesday and 11am-1am Thursday-Saturday, the bar is set to become a neighborhood go-to standard.

Adjacent to the popular Beacon Theatre, where recent headliner acts have included Tom Petty, Nick Cave and Joe Bonamassa, the bar is bustling with a pre- and post-theatre crowd.

Cozy banquettes and low lighting create an atmosphere of relaxation, romance and old-school Manhattan glamour. A well-edited specialty cocktail menu entices with creations including the Beacon Big Apple (whiskey, apple juice and cucumber shrub) and the Giulio Cesare (gin, elderflower liqueur, ginger and Peychaud's).

American classic cocktails including martinis, daiquiris and Long Island iced teas are always available.

Tasty bites are available from open until close, proving a hit with hungry hotel guests. Delicious dates stuffed with goat cheese, charcuterie boards and market-fresh cheese plates are on the menu. An expanded menu of substantial finger food and all-American favorites is due to be launched soon.
