Heritage Boutique Lake Resort, Cromwell Opens Conference Centre

Heritage Hotels

Heritage Hotel Management greeted The Heritage Boutique Lake Resort Cromwell to the rapidly growing Heritage Hotel group in June 2014 and is pleased to announce the opening of a new on-site conference centre.

Set on the shores of Lake Dunstan in the South Island of New Zealand, the five-star property with purpose built marina is just seven minutes' drive from Cromwell, and 45 minutes' drive from Queenstown airport. Also close by are the region's most famous ski slopes, including the Snow Farm and a vast array of award winning wineries.

The Heritage Boutique Lake Resort Cromwell architecturally designed over-water villas have been constructed to emulate a boatshed theme. Hugging the lake's edge, the elegant villas are available from one, two and three bedroom accommodation configurations; all with magnificent lake and mountain views.

Each villa has designer kitchen and spacious lounge-dining area opening on to a deck for alfresco dining, plus, its own mooring for the boat, jet-ski or kayak.

Just opened is a purpose-built conference centre on site at the popular property. The venue has capacity for 300 people theatre style and 150 for a banquet.

The state-of-the-art conference facility offers lovely lake views and abundant natural light. An exclusive hire option is also available at the resort for wedding and conference groups.

Also on site at The Heritage Boutique Lake Resort Cromwell is The Moorings restaurant and bar offering hearty café food during the day and stylish a la carte dining in the evening.

To complete the facilities on site is a ski, snow board and kayak hire shop, plus, outdoor hot tubs for soaking up a sunset or treating apres ski muscles.

“We are thrilled to have this stunning facility in our South Island inventory. The Heritage Boutique Lake Resort Cromwell offers a brand new destination for conferences and is suitable for winter and summer events,” says Tony Howlett, general manager sales and marketing of Heritage Hotel Management.

Delegates might be tempted to simply stay on site and enjoy the lake setting and never leave the luxury of this property, but nearby Cromwell has a lot to offer visitors.

First off is the stunning Mt Pisa range and surrounding mountains, which can be accessed by Heliview, a Cromwell based helicopter scenic flight operator that can touch down on the snow for passengers to walk about and take superb photos.

Also not to be missed in Cromwell is the unique Highlands Motorsport Park offering a unique 'Porsche taxi' experience, where passengers can experience speeds of over 200 kilometres-an-hour around its international standard race track. There is also an outstanding collection of race cars to admire. For those eager to get behind the wheel there is a go-kart race track for a fun team activity also on site.

For a more restful diversion or partners programme, the charming Old Cromwell Town Historic Reserve is a delight to explore, with a range of charming bijoux shops, cafes and galleries chock full of local artists' accomplished work.
