Help Build InterContinental Hong Kong's Gingerbread House to Benefit New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association

InterContinental Hong Kong

This holiday season InterContinental Hong Kong is once again supporting the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, which provides a comprehensive range of quality community-based rehabilitation services for people in recovery from mental illness. One of the key fundraising initiatives is the hotel's InterContinental Hong Kong Gingerbread House, which launches on Monday, December 1st in the hotel lobby.  Open to the public, everyone is encouraged to help build InterContinental's Gingerbread House by purchasing personalised Gingerbread Bricks on which your name or company logo will be showcased in icing. All proceeds from the sale of the Gingerbread Bricks will benefit New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association.

Our Gingerbread Family (Ginger, Bread and GingerBrad) arrive in Hong Kong this weekend to start a “New Life” with the support of InterContinental Hong Kong and New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association. Our Gingerbread House is being built with your personalized “brick” donations to house them and support other New Life Service Users. Our goal is to finish building the Gingerbread House so our Gingerbread Family can move in before Christmas!   Follow the progress of our Gingerbread House construction and the “Gingerbread Family” and also share your brick-laying images on Instagram @interconhk and Facebook @InterContinentalHK.

Personalised Gingerbread Bricks can be purchased for HK$388 (for the front of the house), HK$288 (for the back of the house) or HK$188 (for the sides of the house).

Other holiday initiatives in support of “New Life” include the hotel's “New Life” Holiday Hamper which features products from the New Life Healthy Living Specialty / Organic Shop, with all proceeds donated to the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association.

On sale throughout the hotel for HK$120 is a special InterContinental Hong Kong Holiday Gingerbread Man, with a Gingerbread Cookie freshly baked by New Life Service Users and gift bag  designed by talented young HK artist  Samantha Li, the creator of “P on P” (Painting on Photo) art form. All proceeds from the sale of the stuffed Gingerbread Men will go to the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association.

Samantha Li's original artwork for the gift bag, which showcases InterContinental Hong Kong's panoramic harbourview decorated with a festive Gingerbread Man theme, will be showcased at our Holiday Desk in the Lobby throughout December. The original artwork will be available for purchase via a silent auction, with all proceeds benefiting New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association.

During the month of December, InterContinental Hong Kong is pleased to showcase Samantha's “P on P” works of art in the hotel's Lobby (with pricing upon request). www.samanthaponp.com
