As part of its on-going CSR program, management and staff from Hansar Samui visited Watrathbumrung School on 16 July to donate supplies for the children from local farming villages.

The parents of most of the children who attend the school work on the land - either in rubber tree plantations, or as part time farmers. 

The school has over 90 students respectively, range from 4-12 years old.  Each student received an attractive school bag sized according to their age, containing books and a set of stationery inside. 

The money to buy the supplies totaling USD2,500 was raised from guest donation in purchasing hand-made Thai elephant toys which were artfully displayed on a tree in the lobby of the hotel over the last few months.  Hansar Samui is especially grateful to the guests for their donations which made this event possible.
