Galley Bay Resort & Spa Antigua, part of the Elite Island Resorts  Group, is to offer a special "World Cup Widow" spa package comprising manicure, pedicure and massage to travelling partners left kicking their heels on the beach while the other half watches the matches to be broadcast in the resort with little time difference. The resort's luxury open air spa will host those not glued to England's fortunes in Group D with a pamper package.

Any "plus one" staying 7 nights or more throughout June 2014 can book into the spa and enjoy the attention not available during matches from their holiday companion.  The open air "Indulge" Spa at Galley Bay is inspired by the distinctive look of  the resort's Gauguin cottages, and is located adjacent to the calming waters of a lagoon and surrounding bird sanctuary.The spacious, multi-level hideaway features three massage areas, two of which are rustic, open-air treatment "pods". The pods are rough-hewn, airy massage decks draped with sheer, white curtains for privacy, and both overlook the bird sanctuary and lagoon.

Galley Bay Resort & Spa, along with the other resorts in the Elite Island Resorts Group, will become a beachside broadcast hub for 2014 FIFA World Cup matches, throughout June.  Capitalising on the favourable time zone, meaning matches will be broadcast with just an hour delay, all Elite Island Resort locations will screen key matches: Antigua (St. James Club & Villas, Veranda Resort & Spa, Galley Bay Resort & Spa), St Lucia (St James's Club Morgan Bay),Barbados (The Club Barbados Resort & Spa), Grenadines (Palm Island Resort) & BVI (Long Bay Beach Club).
