Luxury Italian hotel group Royal Demeure has launched a range of special Easter packages for properties in Rome, Florence and Siena this April.
Easter or 'Pasqua' is one of the most important events on the calendar for many Italians and Royal Demeure's properties are well situated so guests can experience the various celebrations and processions that take place over the religious holiday period. Easter in Italy also offers a fantastic showcase for cuisine and visitors will find culinary delights in gelateries, patisseries and restaurants across Italy.
Royal Demeure's Easter packages are available at the Hotel d'Inghilterra and the Hotel Beverly Hills in Rome, the Helvetia & Bristol in Florence and the Grand Hotel Continental in Siena. The packages include accommodation and breakfast, as well as a number of additions such as a welcome cocktail upon arrival, a bottle of Italian Prosecco and Easter eggs in the room and a traditional Easter lunch.
Easter events in Rome
Guests staying at either the Hotel d'Inghilterra or the Hotel Beverly Hills in Italy's capital city over the Easter weekend will be able to witness the world-renowned Good Friday procession. On Friday 18 April the Good Friday procession will go right through the centre of Rome and include a number of performances based on the events of Jesus Christ's life.

Easter events in Tuscany
Guests staying at the Helvetia and Bristol in Florence will be able to witness the ancient tradition of 'the explosion of the cart'. The procession led by white oxen marks the efforts of the Florentine knight Pazzino who was the first man to plant the banner of the cross at the battle of Jerusalem in the first Crusade of 1096.
