Club Med Temporarily Closes One Tahitian Resort - Moorea

Club Med

International leisure group, Club Med, has temporarily closed its Tahitian resort on the island of Moorea.

Careful consideration has been given to the following factors:

-The downturn in leisure travellers from America due to the world situation. A season which is traditionally one of low occupancy

The combined factors influenced Club Meds decision to close Moorea for the rest of its present season.

The closure will, however, allows us to consider thoroughly the potential for renovation of the village says Franck Gueguen General Manager Australia / New Zealand / Pacific.

Our younger and smaller, and arguably more beautiful, village on the island of Bora Bora will remain open, to ensure that Club Members in the Southern Hemisphere still have a Tahitian destination advised Franck Gueguen.

Bora Bora is world renowned for its tropical beauty, relaxed pace, turquoise lagoon and celebrity guests.
