Yosemite/Mariposa, Calif. (October 1, 2015)Yosemite/Mariposa County invites visitors to come experience the unique holiday traditions of Yosemite/Mariposa County this winter. Holiday calendar listings include: Vintner's Holidays and the 88th Annual Bracebridge Dinner at The Ahwahnee, Gingerbread House Decorating Workshops, Kid's Dinner with Santa, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve events at the four-diamond Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite, as well as many outdoor activities to enjoy at beautiful Yosemite National Park.

With six sessions between Nov. 8 and Dec. 3, Vintners' Holidays will give your Yosemite vacation a touch of elegance as prominent winemakers showcase their vintages. Enjoy an engaging wine seminars, a Meet the Vintner's reception, and a five course gala dinner.

From Sunday, Dec. 13 through Friday Dec. 25, the 88th annual Bracebridge Dinner at The Ahwahnee. The most time-honored Yosemite tradition, the Bracebridge Dinner is a performance of song, dance and extraordinary cuisine, all celebrating the yuletide season.

Join the beloved tradition of decorating gingerbread houses at one of the gingerbread house decorating workshops at the Tenaya Lodge. Fun for all ages, the workshop allows participants access to everything from gumdrops to marshmallows to build an original gingerbread masterpiece. Workshops take place Nov. 27 and 28 and Dec. 19, making it a festive family activity for guests visiting near the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

On December 24, gather with friends to enjoy Christmas Eve at Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite. A Christmas Eve cookie decorating workshop gives children the opportunity to make Santa custom treats for his big night. Mrs. Claus will make a

special appearance to read aloud 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, and settle in for the night. Wake up on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, for a day of family fun and hit the ice skating rink, or indulge in one of the Christmas buffets at the resort.

Kick-off the New Year with friends at the Tenaya Lodge. The property is bringing the glitz and glam of big-city New Year's Eve celebrations to Yosemite. The evening will feature fine dining, delicious cocktails and a three entertainment acts, including a performance by two-time “Comedy Magician of the Year” Chipper Lowell.

Winter in Yosemite/Mariposa County is an especially beautiful time to be outdoors enjoying a range of activities from horse-drawn sleigh rides, skiing at Badger Pass Ski Resort, ice skating, snow shoeing and photography.
