HOTELS
Dream Hollywood Hotel (Hollywood) – The West Coast's first Dream Hotel will debut in the heart of Hollywood on Selma and Cahuenga in October 2016. Designed by the award winning Rockwell Group, the 10-story boutique luxury Dream Hollywood Hotel will feature 179 hyper-chic rooms, unique-to-market dining experiences and an 11,000-square-foot rooftop lounge area. www.dreamhotels.com
Hotel Indigo Downtown Los Angeles (Downtown) – InterContinental Hotels Group will debut Hotel Indigo Downtown Los Angeles, a hip 350-room hotel in March 2017. The 18-story Hotel Indigo will be the flagship hotel at Metropolis, a $1 billion mixed-use development, which will feature three residential towers and a curated retail experience. The property will sit at the heart of Downtown L.A., linking the Financial District to L.A. LIVE. Design for the hotel will be inspired by its surrounding neighborhood and will focus on prominent narratives from Downtown's past including Fiesta De Las Flores, the glamorous pre-Hollywood nightlife scene and the underground speakeasies of the roaring twenties. www.ihg.com/hotelindigo
InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown (Downtown) – InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown will be part of the tallest U.S. building west of the Mississippi River when the Wilshire Grand Center opens in summer 2017. The 900-room hotel will include a “sky lobby” on the 70th floor. The $1.1 billion project, which is being developed by Korean Air and Hanjin Group, will also include 400,000 square feet of offices and 45,000 square feet of retail space. When completed, Wilshire Grand Center will be about 80 feet taller than the U.S. Bank Tower.
Nobu Ryokan Malibu (Beach Cities) – Celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa is taking over the old Casa Malibu and repurposing it as a ryokan, or traditional Japanese inn. The beachfront property, which is owned by tech magnate Larry Ellison, will have 18 rooms when it opens in December 2016.
The James West Hollywood (West Hollywood) – The James West Hollywood will arrive to the Los Angeles area in March 2017, where it will be situated in the heart of the iconic Sunset Strip at the southeast corner of Sunset and La Cienega Boulevards. The James West Hollywood will be the first new ground-up hotel in the area in approximately 30 years, and will be comprised of 286 rooms, two restaurants, a rooftop bar, and 10,000 square feet of meeting space. Viceroy L'Ermitage Beverly Hills (Beverly Hills) – Viceroy Hotel Group has officially rebranded the former L'Ermitage Beverly Hills under the Viceroy flag in March 2016. This marks the completion of its 10-month renovation. Waldorf Astoria (Beverly Hills) – The Los Angeles area's first hotel under Hilton Worldwide's Waldorf Astoria luxury brand will open on the triangular corner next to the Beverly Hilton. Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills – Four Seasons announces the premiere of the Screening Room, which is located adjacent to Culina restaurant. The boutique theatre can be equipped with 38 plush leather recliner chairs, outfitted with retractable tables and armrests. The Screening Room features a drop-down 14' by 8' HD 4k widescreen and DCP-compliant Proscene 1080p, full 3D projector, providing crystal clear, cinema quality images, along with the Klipsch Pro-THX surround system, which will coat the room in rich sound. The highs are crisp and clear, the lows deep and rumbling. The rental for the Screening Room starts at USD 2,500. Italian Chef de Cuisine Denis Dello Stritto from Culina will be creating elevated movie snacks and beverages for the Screening Room, to accompany the chairs' built in dining trays, including truffle popcorn, french fries, champagne, fresh juices and sweet treats, such as house made churros and pastries. For those seeking a personalised and unique screening, Chef Denis will create customised Cinema Italiana menus with a selection of small plates, including house-fired montanara, savoury bruschetta, prosciutto and formaggi. Guests will also enjoy a curated array of Italian wines from the Vinoteca Wine Bar to complement the cuisine, housemade dolci and Italian espresso.

Malibu Family Wines (Beach Cities) – There are two exciting new activities are coming from Malibu Family Wines. Starting this summer, Malibu Wine Hikes will take guests on a hike of Saddlerock ranch. At the end of the hike, guests can try five different types of wine at the Malibu Wine tasting room. Also, coming late this fall, Malibu Wines will pair their estate wines with sea breezes and ocean views to create Malibu Wine Sailing. They will set sail from postcard-perfect Marina Del Rey for a leisurely cruise enjoying SoCal's coastal scenery while savoring a selection of their most popular wines accompanied by delicious, locally sourced small bites. OUE Skyspace LA (Downtown) – California's tallest open-air observation deck and the premiere destination for panoramic, 360-degree views of Los Angeles opened on June 25, 2016. Avec Nous (Beverly Hills) – A contemporary take on the classic French bistro replacing Livello restaurant and lounge at Viceroy L'Ermitage Beverly Hills hotel. On the menu is European spices accompanying locally sourced seasonal ingredients.
Georgie (Beverly Hills) – Renowned chef and restauranteur Geoffrey Zakarian is welcoming guests to his new restaurant at Montage Beverly Hills. Gwen (Hollywood) – Chef Curtis Stone and his brother Luke opened Gwen, named after their grandmother, in July 2016. Beverly Center (Westside) – The Beverly Center has unveiled a massive $500 million renovation plan, aiming to draw more shoppers with increased food offerings and improved open-air designs. The new design will feature a continuous ribbon of skylights to bring more natural light to the eight-story mall's interior. In addition to great retail, an estimated ten dining destinations will be developed, including two by Michelin starred, James Beard Award-winning Chef Michael Mina.
