Australia's newest travel publication, The Rambler Travel Series, showcases Australian tourism regions in the form of a gorgeously crafted coffee table magazine. Airlie Beach, Australia - 28th May 2021 Frustrated by the same old 'must-visit' spots on Aussie travel lists, The Rambler Co has set out to create a new kind of travel inspiration, a series that digs deep into regional Australia, and comes in a form worthy of a spot on your coffee table for years to come.

Showcasing a different Aussie region each edition, the Rambler Travel Series has just launched their first edition in partnership with Tourism Tropical North Queensland. It includes stories about hiking in the Wet Tropics, exotic tropical fruits of the north, swimming with dwarf minke whales, and even a peek inside Cairns' award-winning gin distillery. To squeeze all of this in, the standard pages of promotions and ads that usually fill the pages of travel magazines have been left out of The Rambler Travel Series. This way, readers can get straight to the good stuff.

The Rambler Travel Series is the brainchild of James Vodicka, a familiar face in the world of Australian tourism. Vodicka has travelled extensively around Australia for the past six years as a professional photographer, shooting for Tourism Australia, Tourism & Events Queensland, Nikon Australia & GoPro Australia, among others. Turning his attention to the world of travel publishing, Vodicka has set out to share an insight into Australia like you've never seen it before:

“The Rambler Travel Series was born out of my frustrations as a professional travel photographer. Searching for travel inspiration in magazines, social media and online blogs, I just find that it's all the same generic top 10 lists, ads and deals. The worst part of it is, the places I have fallen in love with on my travels around the country aren't even being featured.”

The Rambler Co have launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to help fund their new publication. The campaign calls on Aussies to pledge a bit of cash before June 3rd, and get a stunning magazine in return – the first in their collectible series, showcasing Queensland's Tropical North. Supporting independent journalism, being inspired to explore new places, and showing off a gorgeous new coffee table book – not a bad use of $30!
