Taiwan, a small dynamic island country located in Asia, now is booming in MICE industry. With strong government and its main players support, Taiwan successfully has caught more attention in the global meeting and incentive industry. Based on ICCA survey last year, Taiwan was ranked 4th and our capital city Taipei was ranked 2ed in Asia. More and more international hotel groups are also planning to extend their brand to Taiwan in further year. The Taiwan Tourism Bureau officially launched a new subsidy policy. To further encourage overseas incentive groups to Taiwan, the Tourism Bureau is offering grants and incentives such as culture performances, planning assistance and souvenirs for 2012-2013. Moreover, for the first-time incentive group over 150 pax and above, the Tourism Bureau provides a free gala dinner, and still offering complimentary gifts, welcome banner, and cultural performance, etc. for eligible visiting groups.

Besides, Taiwan government works side by side to development Taiwan MICE industry and provide outstanding environment to fit any Exhibition, Conference, Incentive and Events. Not only the Tourism Bureau, but also Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) and Taipei city government are raising their amount of subsidy. For those who apply subsidy from BOFT may obtain up to NTD 2 million (about USD 65,000) per exhibition, and NTD 2.8 million (about USD 90,000) per conference; the Department of Information and Tourism of Taipei City also raises the maximum subsidy from NTD 500,000 to 1 million (about USD 32,500) per case in 2012.
