Julian Carnall, Large Minority 04 Jun 2019
Spokesperson for Responsible Tourism: Sri Lanka

Large Minority

When current travel restrictions to Sri Lanka are lifted the travel industry will be seeking industry sources to discuss the situation, reassure travellers considering the destination and give useful tips about how to safely enjoy one of the world's most beautiful and welcoming countries once again.

Julian Carnall, founder of group adventure travel company Large Minority has been operating large scale adventure challenges around the whole of Sri Lanka for over ten years. As the owner of a responsible travel company, Julian's mission is to spread the message out about the vital importance tourism plays in the recovery of a destination after such an event.

Julian was born and raised in Kenya, where he witnessed first hand the impact of terrorism and the importance of bringing tourism revenue back into a community as soon as possible after a crisis. It was largely this experience that has informed the way he runs his business; ensuring maximum spend in lesser visited areas and always using local support teams.

I hope you will consider Julian for an interview when the time is appropriate to begin discussing the return of leisure travel to Sri Lanka.
