This impressive pet-friendly and child-friendly villa has been renovated to an exceptionally high level. Pastel whites have been used throughout to create an atmosphere of calm and lightness and a selection of contemporary furnishings have been used to finish off the look and feel of each room in style.

 

Springfield has a spacious interior with a well-equipped open-plan kitchen and dining room.  Stylish high white gloss has been used to finish the kitchen units, while granite worktops and oak flooring combine to complete the chic culinary style statement. As for equipment, the kitchen features a Range cooker, American fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and a full range of utensils and accessories. Entertainment is provided by a flatscreen TV with Freeview, DVD player and DAB radio.  There is also direct access to the patio.   

 

The dining area has beautiful views out over the garden that can be enjoyed from the two contemporary styled zebra print armchairs either side of the large floor to ceiling windows. The dining area itself is illuminated by a swanky central snowflake lampshade and features a handsome painted Victorian fireplace and surround.  A chic white sideboard and a large dining table, with ten matching chairs, finishes off the look of this room.  Entertainment is provided by a Hi-Fi with iPod docking station and a flat screen TV.

 

The main living room is South facing and enjoys many period features including shutters, a classic cast iron fireplace with carved surround and a large mirror over.  Complemented by contemporary features such as the large white central snowflake lampshade, a three seat sofa and an L-shaped four seat sofa, this space mixes traditional style with modern finesse beautifully.  As well as an additional armchair and large wooden coffee table - perfect for cards and board games - entertainment is provided by a 43” flatscreen TV with Freeview and DVD player. 

 

Just one bedroom is located on the ground floor. This features a double bed, mirror, bedside cabinets and wardrobe with chest of drawers. As with all the other bedrooms entertainment is provided by a flatscreen TV with Freeview and DVD player. 

 

The remaining four bedrooms are all on the first floor including the very stylish master bedroom with dual aspect windows and views over Torquay.  The room itself is furnished with a pretty double bed, an ornate French painted wardrobe, matching chest of drawers, a two-seat sofa, a freestanding mirror and a lovely original still-life painting.

In addition to the games room, Springfield has its own bespoke playground with a children’s den, climbing wall, fireman’s pole and swing situated in a soft play area.

 

As for things to do locally, the property is only a short distance from Torquay harbour, while Kents Cavern, its underground caves, and Living Coasts coastal zoo are all close by. Cockington country park, with its pretty thatched cottages, artisan workshops and arboretum, is just a short drive away as are Paignton’s award winning Geopark, zoo and cinema.
