Renowned Hong Kong Interior Design Master Steve Leung Creates Landmark Xiao Nan Guo Restaurant in Hong Kong

Steve Leung Designers Ltd

Designed by renowned Hong Kong interior designer Steve Leung, the recently established flagship of Shanghais famous Xiao Nan Guo restaurant is located at landmark One Peking in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. The restaurant reflects an elegant Chinese Jiang-nan garden with a contemporary touch where guests can enjoy an authentic Chinese dining experience.

Originally established in Shanghai over 20 years, Xiao Nan Guo rapidly developed from a small restaurant with a few tables to a renowned fine-food brand attentive to delivering delicious cuisine, promoting good health and presenting a quality lifestyle, as reflected at the new Steve Leung-designed Hong Kong branch of this illustrious dining establishment.

Entering Xiao Nan Guo restaurant, guests are guided across a traditional Chinese zigzag bridge to the main dining area where seating provides every guest with panoramic city views through huge glass windows.

The Jiang-nan style at Xiao Nan Guo is created using Chinese-style wooden ceiling, dark-grey stone flooring and simple, yet stylish, wooden furnishings. Off to one side, an array of bronze-colour leather screens with vermilion leather doors reveal a semi-private dining area imbued with a touch of exclusive elegance whilst also echoing with the restaurants overall theme.

A stylish open bar and five VIP rooms are also located at the other end of the restaurant. Plush blue carpets with auspicious-cloud patterns, wooden ceiling and tasteful furnishings dressed in golden fabrics offset the enchanting city views beyond and convey a sumptuous yet comfortable atmosphere. Further catering to the different needs of guests, one VIP room is also specially designed with an open kitchen, while another two can easily be combined to become one large function room allowing for flexibility of use.

Over the past two decades Steve has grown his design practice - Steve Leung Designers Limited - into a formidable organisation that now boasts 300 employees across Asia. He recently became involved in the restaurant industry as a minor shareholder of popular Pho 24 restaurant outlets in Hong Kong, however, this also ignited his enthusiasm and passion for providing truly memorable dining experiences set amid contemporary and inspired restaurant interiors.

With an enjoy life, enjoy design philosophy, Steve is one of those fortunate talents who has achieved success simply by being passionate about his work. His unique take on contemporary design with an Asian twist can be seen in countless show flats, offices, restaurants and hotels throughout the region, including Xiao Nan Guo, where his inspired designs greatly influence peoples enjoyment and appreciation of the surrounding spaces.

Each Steve Leung Designers Limited project is tailored to its particular circumstances and functional requirements are carefully analysed to provide the optimal balance between economics and aesthetics. The unique character of every job is fully expressed through the design vision and the balance between light and space.
