Only-apartments.com, the Barcelona-based apartment specialist offering bookings in real time, has launched a mobile-optimized version of its website.

 

Only-apartments is the first site of its kind to offer all the functionality of its website (search, complete information on apartments, user reviews, and instant booking system) for easy navigation by clients using a mobile phone or tablet. 

 

Ramon Glieneke, Commercial & Marketing Director, commented: "Our key benefit as a site is that we offer reservations in real time, so it is logical that our clients should be able to navigate and book easily from any kind of device."

 

The Spanish company has taken the decision after analyzing web traffic from smartphones, which has risen by 65% in the first 5 months of 2013 in terms of visits (compared with the year before),  and 100% for bookings.  

The intention behind the Only-apartments mobile website is not just to convert more visits to bookings via mobile devices, but also to offer consumers a more joined-up experience, no matter how their individual purchasing journey might be made.  

 

Ramon Glieneke adds: "The traveller of today uses multiple devices while they are researching, booking, planning and going on their trip, and increasingly expects this experience to be seamless. So we hope that if we offer a strong mobile experience to a customer doing their initial search, for example, then he or she will be more inclined to making their booking with us, whether they do that via mobile, our call centre or their PC at home."

 

The mobile web forms part of the general strategy of the company, which aims to continue making the experience of reserving apartments easier and quicker for users, and follows the introduction earlier this year of customer services helpdesk 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
