Glacier Country, Montana—By summer 2016, Western Montana's Glacier Country will welcome four brand new lodging properties to the region in Kalispell, Whitefish and Columbia Falls.

Located in Kalispell (about 45 minutes from Glacier National Park and 15 minutes from Flathead Lake), SpringHill Suites by Marriott opened its 101-suite property in late May.

Meanwhile in April, Whitefish welcomed the Hampton Inn & Suites. Located just south of downtown, Hampton Inn & Suites has 76 guest rooms, an indoor pool and hot tub, fitness center and a golf simulator room, as well as 1,000 square feet of meeting space. Situated in the heart of downtown Whitefish, the owners of The Lodge at Whitefish Lake are planning a July 2016 opening for The Firebrand Hotel—a beautiful boutique hotel that features 86 rooms, a fitness center, on-site spa services, restaurant, rooftop patio and 750 square feet of meeting space, as well as a board room with the latest in smart technology.

Closer to Glacier National Park, Columbia Falls will welcome Cedar Creek Lodge and Convention Center in the summer of 2016. This new property, offering 64 rooms and 3,000 square feet of convention space, is modeled after the grand lodges of Glacier National Park and its design incorporates open beam timbers and pitched roof lines.

In addition to the new hotels opening, renovations continue in and around Glacier National Park, with Glacier Park Inc. making several improvements on businesses and services at lodging and dining offerings in West Glacier. Meanwhile, Glacier National Park Lodges continues renovation efforts on Many Glacier Hotel.

Located on the east shore of Flathead Lake near Bigfork, Flathead Lake Lodge spent the winter renovating their cabins and added new wood floors and remodeled bathrooms.
