Garuda Orient Holidays and Garuda Indonesia flew their top 30 travel agents from New Zealand and Australia to Bali for the inaugural Top Achievers Weekend. The weekend, which was a resounding success, included many fun and entertaining activities including a glittering awards ceremony, lawn bowls tournament, shopping trips, jazz evenings and much more.

The weekend was designed to acknowledge and reward top selling agents working in the competitive Bali travel market. Agents from around Australia and New Zealand met in the tropical paradise of Bali for three days and enjoyed famous Balinese hospitality, some light-hearted competition and relaxation in reward for a year of top performance and hard work.

The highlight of the three days was the awards ceremony. VIP guests Mr Iwan Susilo, Executive Vice President, Aerowisata and Mr Anton Partono, Marketing Director, Aerowisata attended the event held on Saturday evening at the Hotel Sanur Beach in Bali. After much suspense, the overall winners were announced. Golden Bali Travel, Adelaide, won the trophy for overall winner and against a backdrop of ceremonial Balinese umbrellas and a contemporary Balinese dance troupe, were presented with the National Top Producer Award by GOH General Manager Ian Norris.

After the awards ceremony, guests got down to the serious business of enjoying themselves, taking advantage of the tremendous variety of leisure activities available including Sobek cycling tours, lawn bowls tournament, golf, cruises, jazz and shopping. Hosts from Garuda Indonesia and GOH also attended the weekend.
