X:

Three decades after the inception of X, one thing is clear: X was not only one of the most influential bands to crash out of the punk movement of the late 70s, but the band's music continues to be sonically groundbreaking today. Songs written during the group's inception are as relevant and inventive today as they were in 1977. The band's early albums, Los Angeles (1980), produced by Ray Manzarek of the Doors, Wild Gift (1981), and Under the Big Black Sun (1982), explored dark love and an even darker L.A. with the unflinching eye of a Raymond Chandler novel. Doe and Cervenka would marry and later divorce, but they'd always remain soulmates. As they released each ensuing album such as More Fun in the New World (1983) and Aint Love Grand (1985), the band continued to grow sonically and politically. Over the years, X fearlessly mixed genres without ever losing the band's center, even while each member went on to explore diverse careers that included acting, art, writing, producing and multiple side projects.

mike watt + the missingmen:

Famed (and San Pedro-based) mike watt + the missingmen are a punk rock trio fronted by the legendary Stooges bassist Mike Watt, and features guitarist Tom Watson (SlovenlyThe Pair of Pliers) and drummer Raul Morales (FYPKiller Dreamer).

L.A. Witch:

L.A. Witch recorded their September 2017 debut at Hurley Studios in Costa Mesa. “We never really thought we would or could release an album,” the band says. “We were really just finding each other and finding our sound.” But after touring nearly non-stop for the last three years, L.A. Witch developed a singularly seductive, haunting, and wistful sound that has enamored the garage rock, dream pop, psych, and broader indie communities.

Brouwerij West:

Brouwerij West is a unique craft brewery and venue located in the San Pedro neighborhood of Los Angeles. Brouwerij West was founded in 2010 and opened its San Pedro brewery in February 2016 in a former Port Warehouse initially built by the U.S. Navy during World War II. Brouwerij West's operation encompasses 26,000 sq. ft. of the Crafted at the Port of Los Angeles facility, including 8,000 square feet devoted to visitor use for its Tasting Room and events, as well as a 17,000-square foot outdoor courtyard and event space. Brouwerij West brews its beers using traditional ingredients and methods mixed with creative inspiration to produce its take on classic Belgian-style and farmhouse ales. Brouwerij West's new facility is covered with solar panels and generates more electricity than it uses, and its mash filter-based brewhouse uses 30% less water than traditional breweries.
