Holiday opportunities in the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba have been extended with news that leading UK holiday providers Thomson and First Choice are to operate there for an additional month in 2015.
The UK's market leader to the island will now fly to Aruba during November, rather than ending its season in October, as in previous years. The first flight from London-Gatwick will be on Tuesday, April 28, with the last departure scheduled for November 17. The last flight back to the UK is November 24.
Thomson and First Choice offer a wide choice of accommodation options with their programme featuring seven hotels. The holiday brands operate the Aruba route on Thomson Airways' 291-passenger 787 Dreamliner.
The Aruba Tourism Authority's UK manager Joanna Walding commented: 'We are delighted by this further vote of confidence from Thomson and First Choice. By adding additional departures, they are extending the UK season to Aruba and making this year-round destination even more available for travellers. The island is looking forward to welcoming even more British holidaymakers in 2015.'
Aruba lies 15 miles north of the South American coastline, benefitting from year-round sunshine, an average temperature of 32 degrees and a cooling breeze. Located on the edge of the hurricane belt, with a nine mile stretch of award-winning pristine beach, turquoise seas, colonial Dutch architecture and a Latin vibe, it is a delightful alternative Caribbean experience.
