Built in the 17th century and with oak beams throughout, this Grade II listed cottage with woodburning stove and underfloor heating is in the heart of Kersey, often voted Suffolk's prettiest hamlet.  Kersey was a thriving village producing woollen yarn and over 500 people occupied the timber framed houses. Nowadays, it's more peaceful place with circa 150 people occupying many of those same houses. Nearby is Lavenham, England's 'Best Preserved Medieval Town', with other wool towns nearby. Other historic villages nearby include Long Melford, Clare and Cavendish, with Constable Country also on the doorstep.
