Since opening in March 2014, Canberrans have flocked to enjoy the fine food and delicious drinks at Canberra's latest boutique destination, QT Canberra.
Last night, the best and brightest of the local hospitality scene recognised the achievements of both Capitol Bar & Grill and Lucky's. Both venues taking home sought-after Awards for Excellence at the Australian Hotels Association's night of nights.
Concept restaurant Capitol Bar and Grill, with their focus on fine Italian cuisine and prime-cut steaks, were thrilled to take home the Best Prestigious Dining Venue award. Perhaps it was the signature antipasto plate that wowed the judges who named CBG a “standout winner”. It's an amazing way to enjoy the flavours that have certainly found favour with CBG's loyal and growing following.
Best Cocktail Bar (Accommodation Division) went to Lucky's. Needless to say it is fantastic to receive industry recognition for a team that came together so quickly to create the impeccable service offering QT Canberra – and across Australia – continually strives to provide.

The 2014 ACT AHA Awards for Excellence were held on the 22nd July at QT Canberra. Bringing together Canberra's leading hotels, bars, restaurants and licenced venues. Nominations spanned more than 30 categories across all aspects of accommodation hotels, licenced venues and outstanding employees. This year marks the first time QT Canberra has participated in the ACT AHA Awards for Excellence.
After what has been a challenging year for the hospitality industry, it was great to celebrate the achievements of the bars, hotels, restaurants and café's that create the vibrant entertainment industry within the ACT. QT Canberra wishes to congratulate all the night's winners, and thanks the Australian Hotels Association for recognising the hard work of the management and staff at Capitol Bar and Grill and Lucky's.
