The ultimate outdoor cinema experience will hit Guernsey this summer with the Sure Big Screen returning to Cobo Bay, one of the island's most idyllic, sandy bays on the west coast, from 19th-25th August.

The Sure Big Screen shows three or four films a day, with films for children in the early afternoon, followed by family films in the evening and adult films later on. The screenings are free and good seating is on a first come first served basis. Showings this year include The Lego Movie, Rio 2, Despicable Me and Frozen for children; The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Philomena and Anchorman 2 for adults as well as classics such as Footloose and Mary Poppins. Viewers can start the evening with a picnic on the beach enjoying the sunset, or with a drink at the popular Cobo Bay Hotel. Guernsey is accessible from Gatwick and Stansted with Aurigny (www.aurigny.com) with prices starting at £77 and £74 respectively.
