As Grape Escapes expands tours further into Italy, they are offering guests the chance to not only experience some of Piedmont's finest wineries but visit one of the world's newest UNESCO World Heritage sites. The 2 night stay in Turin will include visits to 3 wineries across 3 different regions allowing guests to sample fifteen different wines. Prices start from just £505 per person for a mid-week or weekend getaway.

Offering flexible trips throughout the year, guests will be based in the heart of Turin as the tour begins on the first evening with a tutored tasting session of 3 local wines, cheeses and snacks. With a chauffeur and an English-speaking guide on the second day, there will be a tour of the estates and cellars in the wineries of the Barola, Barbaresco and Roero appellations. On return to Turin, the day is ended with a 3 course evening meal including 3 Piedmont wines, served in a local restaurant.

UNESCO considers these sites to be of outstanding value to humanity and an irreplaceable source of life and inspiration. The Piedmont region covers ten thousand hectares of beautiful vineyard landscapes where vine pollen has been found dating back to the 5th Century BC, from when Piedmont was a place of contact and trade between the Etruscans and the Celts.
