Holidaymakers looking for winter sun and a traditional Christmas will find both in Kissimmee, Florida this year. Kissimmee has average day time temperatures of 70 degrees Fahrenheit in December as well as the typical Christmas traditions of falling snow and spectacular ice displays.

 

Now Snowing Nightly

It starts snowing in the town of Celebration on 30 November. This month long Winter Wonderland  Spectacular featuring strolling Charles Dickens Carolers, photos with Santa, horse drawn carriage rides, an ice rink and the Celebration Express train. 'Snow' falls every night for 10 minutes at 6:00, 7:00, 8:00 and 9:00pm until 31 December.

 

ICE! at Gaylord Palms Resort

Frosty the Snowman is featured in a magical retelling of the original Christmas classic. More than two million pounds of hand-carved ice sculptures bring your favourite scenes to life and include four ice slides for adults and children. A team of 40 talented artisans from China spent more than a month creating this one-of-a-kind attraction.

 

The new "Artisans in Action," area features a masterful ice carver from China who will create incredible sculptures before your eyes.

 

Arabian Nights Holiday Show

The dinner show 'Amirah's Wish' is the only holiday celebration performed on horseback! Running from 1 December to 2 January it features Santa Claus himself.

 

Kissimmee is just minutes from the major theme parks which are also celebrating a traditional Christmas.

 

The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights

This is a breathtaking display of millions of glittering lights synchronised to Christmas music at Disney's Hollywood Studios. There are also twirling carousels, heavenly angels and Santa and his reindeer.

 

SeaWorld Polar Express Experience

Journey to the North Pole on The Polar Express Experience, then share a smile with a playful penguin in the park's newest attraction 'Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin.' With everything from Santa to Shamu, presents to penguins and elves to Elmo, this is a Christmas Celebration by the sea.
