London, November 18th 2019 – As Relais & Châteaux announces its newest members around the world, 11 Cadogan Gardens is honourably welcomed as the association's only London hotel. Relais & Châteaux members embody exceptional hospitality through service, cuisine and amenities, while offering travellers a sense of place rich in culture and heritage. It was the award-winning Chewton Glen that set the standard of excellence for Relais & Châteaux in the United Kingdom, as the first-ever British hotel to join the association back in 1971. Championing its rich heritage and exceptional service, 11 Cadogan Gardens has followed in Chewton Glen's footsteps, to become one of the finest hotels in the world.  Originally built by Lord Chelsea in the late 19th century as part of the prestigious Cadogan Estate, 11 Cadogan Gardens today stands as one of London's premier boutique hotels, with 56 luxury guestrooms and a brand-new restaurant, Hans' Bar & Grill, that opens onto the artisanal Pavilion Road. Located in the heart of Chelsea, just off Sloane Square, the property is rooted in heritage and has become a staple destination for the local community.

“We are proud that 11 Cadogan Gardens has been welcomed into the Relais & Châteaux family and has become the association's only London hotel,” says Andrew Stembridge, Executive Director of Iconic Luxury Hotels. “A quintessential British building, the property is exquisitely designed and offers impeccable service - both pillars that stay true to the ethos of Relais & Châteaux. It's amazing to see the hotel now standing amongst the world's finest hotels and restaurants.”

Philippe Gombert, President of Relais & Châteaux said: "We are very happy to count 11 Cadogan Gardens as a member of our family.
