TORONTO, ON (March 25 2026) – As fans gear up for Opening Day, Toronto Marriott City Centre - the only hotel in North America located inside a Major League stadium - is inviting guests to experience baseball like never before with its viral Field View Rooms and the debut of an extraordinary new experience: The Rawlings® Room.
Already a sensation among sports fans, the hotel's iconic Field View Rooms and Suites offer an unmatched opportunity to stay directly inside Rogers Centre, home of the Toronto Blue Jays. These bucket-list accommodations famously sold out within minutes during the 2025 ALCS and World Series, and for good reason: guests enjoy front-row access to the action from the comfort of their hotel room.
Now, Toronto Marriott City Centre is raising the bar with the introduction of The Rawlings® Room: a one-of-a-kind, split-level Field View Room created in partnership with Rawlings®, the number one baseball brand worldwide, the official glove of Major League Baseball® and the creator of the renowned Rawlings Gold Glove Award®.
Founded in 1887, Rawlings has been synonymous with baseball excellence for generations. This immersive suite brings that legacy to life, offering fans the ultimate way to experience the game – no tickets required.
Guests begin their stay walking through the hotel's newly renovated hallways before stepping into a baseball dream. The entrance to The Rawlings Room features a display of Rawlings bats on the walls and ceiling, leading into a clubhouse-inspired bedroom where every detail celebrates baseball. Closets have been transformed into player-style lockers, complete with bats, batting gloves, fielding gloves, helmets, and photos. Above the king-size bed, dugout-style storage and ballgame-inspired lighting create the feeling of being inside a professional team space, while the headboard and side tables are designed to resemble a classic wooden dugout bench.
Upstairs, the room opens into a spectacular viewing and living area. A dramatic wall mural made entirely of Rawlings baseballs spells out “1977,” commemorating the inaugural season of the Toronto Blue Jays. This focal point sits above a double pull-out sofa that accommodates additional guests, bringing the total sleeping capacity to four and room capacity to eight to watch the game.
Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the field and like all the hotel's field view rooms and suites, can be opened to take in the full sights and sounds of the stadium. Specialty furnishings, including an oversized baseball glove chair made of Rawlings leather along with additional leather accent seating, create the perfect setting to watch from the windows or enjoy in-room dining from Sportsnet Grill. A workspace topped with a scoreboard-style television makes watching replays even more exciting, while baseball-inspired art, Gold Glove imagery, and mirrors that let guests imagine themselves as a baseball card blurring the line between hotel stay and baseball fantasy.
Even the washroom continues the story, featuring a graphic inspired by Rawlings' original padded glove patent, complemented by field-green accents and themed amenities. Custom carpeting, bedding, and ballpark design details tie the entire experience together into a fully immersive tribute to Rawlings baseball. And for added excitement, the hotel will have a Gold Glove Trophy on hand for commemorative photos.
“I can't think of a better way to bring fans into the game than this,” said Ryan Soderberg, General Manager, Toronto Marriott City Centre. “We're always hearing stories from guests who stayed in our Field View Rooms as kids and are now coming back with their own families - that kind of connection to the game is really special. Partnering with Rawlings, an iconic brand that's been synonymous with baseball for so many generations, felt like the perfect way to take that experience even further. This is something completely unique - something every baseball fan is going to want to experience at least once.”
“Rawlings is happy to partner with the Toronto Marriott City Centre and offer a one of a kind experience for baseball fans,” says Rawlings Chief Marketing Officer, Mike Thompson. “This room is more than just a place to stay - it's a celebration of baseball heritage, craftsmanship, and the passion fans have for the game. By partnering on this unique concept, we're giving guests an opportunity to step inside the legacy of Rawlings and connect with the sport in a memorable, personal way.”
