Australian Pinnacle Tours, a key asset in Pinnacle Travel Group’s portfolio of transportation services, is set for another strong coach touring season in Broome, with increased Virgin Australia flights from Perth likely to drive visitor demand.

Australian Pinnacle Tours’ Broome season will run from 1st April to 30th November 2026, coinciding with the town’s spectacular ‘Staircase to the Moon’ natural phenomenon, which occurs two to three days a month between March and October.

From 1st April, Virgin Australia will increase Perth-Broome flights to 17 per week, with new services timed to enable connections from capital cities on the east coast.

The 40% increase in flights reflects growing demand for travel to the region. Virgin’s chief strategy and transformation officer, Alistair Hartley, said: “We know that Broome is a tourism hotspot for the state, so these extra services make it easier for visitors from across Australia to explore the region, boosting local tourism and supporting businesses.”

With full day and half-day coach tours, Australian Pinnacle Tours (APT) will continue supporting local providers in Broome, such as Willie Creek Pearl Farm, Spinifex Brewing Co, and Sun Pictures, the world’s oldest operating picture gardens. The full-day tour visits Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, Australia’s oldest operating pearl farm.

APT remains committed to showcasing Aboriginal culture, heritage and experiences. Guests can learn about the Bardi Jawi people and purchase local art at the Ardyloon Hatchery, see the famous shell church at Beagle Bay, and visit the Aboriginal community at Lombadina.

Additional highlights include a sea safari at Cygnet Bay, dinosaur footprints at Gantheaume Point, spectacular views of the Buccaneer Archipelago, and pristine white sands at world-renowned Cable Beach.

Back by popular demand to lead the tours are partners Claudio Dei Giudici and Lillian Bayliss, who spent Broome’s off-season working at Lancelin 4x4 Adventures, also operated by APT.

During that time, they accumulated an impressive number of five-star Google reviews while taking customers on adrenaline-fuelled expeditions on the sand dunes. They now look forward to providing the same exceptional level of customer service during their second Broome season. Claudio said:

We are both very excited to start the season in Broome. We’re looking forward to the amazing sunsets on Cable Beach once again on our town sunset tour, plus special wine and nibbles on the beach to end a wonderful day learning everything about Broome.

“We’re also looking forward to travelling the Dampier Peninsular and visiting old friends in the communities, seeing the beautiful coastline with the pristine waters, and watching the awesome tides that surge through King Sound.

“There are so many amazing places to visit and events to enjoy. The weather is perfect at this time of year with no cyclones and warm, dry weather every day. We can't wait to show guests our Broome.”

Pinnacle Travel Group also maintains a fleet of five vehicles in Broome available for private charter, operating as Pinnacle Coachlines.

Broome is the gateway to the greater Kimberley region, where Pinnacle Travel Group additionally operates premium small group expedition cruise companies Kimberley Quest and The Great Escape Charter Co.
