As wellness travel evolves, the spotlight is shifting from short-term transformation to sustained, high-performance living. Leading this movement in Bali is Mana Sanctuary, a next-generation concept launching this April as the island's first performance-led recovery destination.
Created for those operating at full capacity, Mana is built on the belief that resilience, clarity and longevity are developed through consistent, proactive restoration.
Set within an intimate boutique hotel environment of just 13 luxury suites, Mana delivers a highly personalised experience. Each stay is guided by curated, outcome-driven pathways tailored to nervous system regulation, sleep architecture, cognitive optimisation and deep recovery. These structured programs integrate state-of-the-art technology, including advanced recovery modalities and diagnostic tools, alongside evidence-based protocols and ancient wisdom practices, ensuring measurable results within an intimate, luxury setting.
Olympic champion Michael Klim joins Mana as an ambassador, bringing lived experience to the philosophy of disciplined recovery and sustainable performance. His journey from elite sport through health challenges and rebuilding has made him one of Australia's most respected voices on adaptation, mental strength and preventative wellbeing.
Michael Klim said, “My perspective on performance has completely changed over the years. What I know now is that the real advantage comes from how well you recover, how you regulate stress and how you build habits you can sustain.”
“What resonated with me straight away is that Mana is aligned with the rise of preventative health. It's not about waiting for something to break, it's about taking ownership early and building strength before you're forced to, and this aligns closely with how I look at wellness now.
"After sport and through my own health challenges, I've realised that performance is built on foundations, nervous system regulation, sleep, recovery and consistency. The basics done well.”
As ambassador, Michael will work closely with Mana to shape conversations around modern resilience, men's mental fitness and recovery as a lifelong skill. Plans are underway for a Michael Klim–led retreat later this year, offering guests the opportunity to work directly with him within the sanctuary's performance-focused environment.
Founder Janine Cottle said, "Michael represents the evolution of performance. He speaks honestly about rebuilding, about humility, and about the discipline of taking recovery seriously. This is the future of wellbeing, and it's exactly what Mana was created to lead.”
Reflecting the partnership, Michael's wellbeing brand KLIMA will also become the amenities partner of Mana Sanctuary, integrating products that support recovery, restoration and everyday performance into the broader Mana experience.
Further details of the Michael Klim–led retreat will be announced in the coming months.
