Maximum Occupancy New Zealand 2026 announce that the Mayor of Auckland, Wayne Brown, will officially open the national accommodation industry conference next week in Auckland.

Taking place on Wednesday, 4 March 2026 at the Grand Millennium Auckland, Maximum Occupancy NZ will bring together more than 250+ hotel owners, accommodation operators, tourism leaders and industry suppliers from across New Zealand, Australia and APAC..

Now in its 11th year, Maximum Occupancy has become one of the leading accommodation industry conferences in the region, focused on driving direct revenue growth, strengthening business performance, and preparing operators for the future of travel.

Mayor Brown's opening address will highlight the importance of tourism, events and accommodation to Auckland's economy, particularly as the city continues to see strong growth in domestic and international visitation.

Event organiser Adrian Caruso said the Mayor's involvement reinforces the importance of the sector to the region.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to visit the newly opened New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) as part of the conference program.
