Audley Travel

Custom travel specialist Audley Travel has expanded its offering for US clients to incorporate more destinations in the Middle East and Northern Africa including additional areas of Egypt and relaunching Oman, plus a series of carefully selected lodges for clients looking to explore Alaska and Canada as part of a bespoke itinerary. Additionally, a new, contemporary Italian train journey of iconic sights has been introduced alongside an under-the-radar National Park in Northern India which offers a rare safari experience to see India's 'Big Five'.

Egypt

Following the much-anticipated opening of the new Grand Egyptian Museum and new cruise and dahabiyas itineraries, interest in Egypt has grown for the US market. For those looking to explore beyond the Nile, Audley has launched a new region in the North Coast of the country, El Alamein  close to Alexandria which enjoys a Mediterranean climate and offers the opportunity to stop-over on route to Siwa Desert - another new destination. El Alamein brings pristine shores to a coastal trip with resorts such as the Address Beach Resort Marassi, a refined beachfront escape in the heart of the exclusive Marassi development. Whether venturing out on a desert safari or wandering through the labyrinthine lanes of Shali Fortress, the remote Western desert of Siwa offers some exceptional desert properties and activities.

A 10-day custom Egypt's lesser-visited desert and coast itinerary, including an opportunity to visit the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, costs from $7,995 per person (based on two sharing) and includes transfers, excursions and accommodations. 855-435-1768 / www.audleytravel.com/us/egypt

Oman

Back on sale after a five-year break is the understated Gulf neighbor, Oman. Located a five-hour drive or a short flight from Dubai, it is connected from the US on flights via Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Qatar, and clients are also able to combine a trip to Oman with Jordan and Egypt, as well as these connection hubs.

Low-rise, culturally rich, and offering a laid-back vibe, Oman is a destination which suits all timeframes of travel. For a short trip, Audley recommends spending some time in Muscat, visiting the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in the capital, the chance to swim with sea turtles and other marine life on a boat trip to the Damaniyat Islands, followed by a few nights in the stunning Jebel Akhdar mountain range where clients can enjoy hikes or exploring the mountain villages. A night in the desert in a luxury tented camp is a must, where clients can stargaze at the clear night sky and enjoy a candlelit dinner in the Wahiba Sands. For those travelers who have a little longer Audley recommends a visit to Jebel Shams, where Oman's Grand Canyon is located, or Salalah in the south of the country, famous for its frankincense trees and black camels found in the Empty Quarter.

A nine-day custom Luxury Tour of Oman costs from $16, 595 per person (based on two sharing) and includes transfers, excursions and accommodations. 855-435-1768 / www.audleytravel.com/us/oman/

New Alaska & Canada bases

Where clients stay matters, which is why Audley has carefully curated a new series of authentic lodges for 2026, exceptional bases to explore the Northern Lights of Manitoba and urban Newfoundland, Canada and the remote mountains of Alaska.

Audley recommends Gangler's Sub-Arctic Lodge in northern Manitoba as a remote, family-run resort offering clients the opportunity to venture into the wilderness and catch sight of caribou, beluga whales, polar bears, plus try world-class fishing. Come summer, the lodge provides a fantastic base to see the stunning aurora borealis.

A six-day custom Northern Lights itinerary costs from $5,100 per person (based on two sharing) and includes transfers, excursions and accommodations. 855-435-1768 / www.audleytravel.com/us/canada

In Newfoundland, Dvele Inn in St John's has been added to the Audley portfolio - a welcome place to begin a journey into Newfoundland's rugged coastline, history, and natural wonders. Set in a residential area just behind Bannerman Park, Dvele Inn offers a quiet, boutique stay just a short walk from the downtown area of St John's. Highlights for clients visiting Newfoundland as part of a self-drive trip include spotting icebergs as they drift south on the Labrador Current and past Newfoundland's rocky coastline, a fjord boat trip in the magnificent scenery of Gros Morne National Park, watching for whales from Quirpon Island Lighthouse Inn, and moose and caribou sightings while driving north along the Northern Peninsula.

Accessible by floatplane and set on the shores of Judd Lake and the Talachulitna River, Tordrillo Mountain Lodge in Alaska is the latest addition for Audley clients looking to explore the region. This remote lodge overlooks two towering volcanoes, along with Mount Denali, and combines rustic charm with modern elegance, featuring cozy accommodations, and personalized service. In winter, it is a premier destination for heli skiing with access to over a million acres of untouched terrain. Summer brings a different experience such as heli hiking, glacier trekking or salmon fishing. As part of a wider Alaska trip, Audley suggests beginning in Anchorage with two nights downtown, followed by a scenic train journey to Denali National Park for two nights, including a tour of the tundra wilderness.

A seven-day custom Alaska Explorer itinerary costs from $14,980 per person (based on two sharing) and includes transfers, excursions and accommodations. 855-435-1768 / www.audleytravel.com/us/usa/alaska

New Italian 'La Dolce Vita Train' experience

A contemporary train journey through Italy's iconic destinations is new for US travelers for 2026. Offering the opportunity for clients to stay a few nights either side of a route, Audley recommends combining a trip on the luxurious La Dolce Vita Express, taking in Rome, Portofino and later Venice. Where vintage glamour meets modern comfort, and lunch onboard is crafted by a three-Michelin-starred chef, La Dolce Vita is an indulgent way to witness Italy's diverse beauty from a unique perspective, as the train glides from Rome's historic skyline to the rolling hills of Tuscany and the sparkling Ligurian coast. Clients can stroll through Portofino's iconic Piazzetta and vibrant waterfront, explore its hidden lanes and scenic corners before returning to the train for cocktails and live music. As a final stop, there is an opportunity to experience Venice as it was meant to be seen - from the water aboard a traditional private water taxi, which provides a serene introduction to the city.

La Dolce Vita have also just launched their first international itinerary traveling from Rome to Istanbul, linking scenic travel to Turkey from Italy.

A 6-day custom Rome, Portofino and Venice with time on a Dolce Vita Orient Express itinerary costs from $11,895 per person (based on two sharing) and includes transfers, excursions and accommodations. 855-435-1768 / www.audleytravel.com/us/italy
