IHG Hotels & Resorts Doubles Down on Meetings and Events Leadership With Exciting New Venues and Regional Growth

IHG Hotels & Resorts

IHG Hotels & Resorts is reinforcing its position as a leader in meetings, incentives, conferences and events (MICE) across Asia Pacific, unveiling a suite of major new conference-ready destinations and a headline-grabbing activation ahead of Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) 2026.

As demand for purposeful, experience-led events continues to rise, IHG is reshaping how value is delivered to both event organisers and delegates, from rethinking loyalty in group travel to investing in some of the region's most significant new and refurbished event spaces.

A growing portfolio to host high-impacts events

In time for AIME, IHG has announced several exciting new openings and transformation projects to inspire planners and MICE travel in 2026 and beyond.

IHG's premium portfolio will take centre stage this year, with three new Crowne Plaza hotels strengthening the brand's footprint across Australia: Crowne Plaza Geelong, which opened in January, alongside Crowne Plaza Shell Cove Marina and Crowne Plaza Melbourne Carlton, both set to open in the coming months.

Meanwhile, voco Hotels, IHG's fastest-growing premium brand, has today announced the conversion of Holiday Inn Express & Suites Queenstown to voco Queenstown, while the brand will debut in the Northern Territory in April with voco Darwin Suites.

Investment in purpose-built venues and destination-led event experiences across the region continues to accelerate, and now includes:

  • Crowne Plaza Nadi Bay Resort & Spa, home to Fiji's largest convention centre, positioning the destination as a premier hub for international conferences and incentives in the South Pacific
  • InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach, set to fully unveil its highly anticipated transformation this year, bringing elevated coastal event spaces to one of Australia's most iconic beachfront locations, from a grand ballroom to breakouts on the sprawling leisure deck
  • Crowne Plaza Geelong, opened in January, strategically located next to the upcoming Geelong Convention Centre, expanding Victoria's capacity to host major business and association events
  • voco Gosford, IHG's fifth voco in Australia and its latest opening on the Central Coast, featuring a rooftop pool with swim-up bar, six distinctive dining and bar venues, and expansive meeting and event facilities including the Altitude Grand Ballroom and Level 28's Astra Rooftop Bar

These openings sit alongside a broader pipeline of new hotels and refurbishments across Asia Pacific, reinforcing IHG's ability to offer organisers choice across luxury, premium and essentials segments, supported by reliable service, scale and loyalty benefits.

Going bold at AIME 2026

To mark its presence at AIME 2026, IHG will also bring its commitment to loyalty and engagement to life with a one million IHG One Rewards points giveaway* at its stand, underscoring the brand's belief that memorable events should deliver lasting value. One million points could see one lucky winner redeem anywhere from 20-30 nights across the IHG portfolio worldwide.

In one of its largest attendances yet, IHG will have more than 50 colleagues onsite at AIME to showcase its newest products for buyers, alongside new hosting experiences –  including the AIME Diamond Hosted Buyer Dinner held at the city's newest luxury & lifestyle hotel from IHG, Hotel Indigo Melbourne Little Collins.

Planners and delegates can find IHG Hotels & Resorts at stand D1.
