Submissions for Spain Talks Awards 2026 Are Now Open

The Spanish Tourist Office (UK) has opened submissions for the Spain Talks Awards 2026, recognising UK media and content creators for their role in promoting Spain as a sustainable visitor destination.

For the first time, the Spain Talks Awards ceremony will be held at the Spanish Embassy in London, with all shortlisted entrants invited to attend.

The Spanish Tourist Office has now opened the submissions for the Spain Talks Awards 2026, which will recognise travel writers and content creators their work in promoting Spain as a sustainable visitor destination in the UK market. The awards represent a recognition of excellence and innovation in all facets of sustainability in the tourism sector including social, cultural, economic, and environmental criteria.

All shortlisted entrants will be invited to attend the Spain Talks 2026 Awards Ceremony, to be held at the Spanish Embassy in London on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, following the Spain Talks Conference.

For 2026, the awards programme is divided into four categories that spotlight initiatives driving responsible and sustainable growth across the industry:

  1. The Ambassador Award honours a UK-based influencer or content creator whose work showcases Spain's commitment to sustainability, inspiring audiences in a digital space and encourage positive change.
  2. The Business Award recognises the best travel trade feature on Spain, educating travel agents on Spain's sustainable offering.
  3. The Experience Award spotlights exceptional slow travel Entries should focus on one Spanish region/island, offering in-depth discovery and authentic insight into local culture and communities. This category is open to consumer titles, newspapers or magazines, across print and digital.
  4. The Media Award celebrates outstanding sustainable travel journalism, recognising the Sustainable Travel Feature of Spain of the Year. This category is open to consumer titles, newspapers or magazines, across print and digital.

 

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR WORK

Submissions are now open. Media professionals and content creators are invited to enter using the details below.

Eligibility

  • Entries must have been published between 1 January and 31 December 2025.
  • The Ambassador Award is open to UK-based media and content creators only, with a demonstrably strong UK audience.
  • All entries must be original and must not include AI-generated material. Content must predominantly feature Spain and must not be purely promotional or advertorial.
  • Entries must be submitted with working links or PDFs, where applicable.
  • Submissions must align with the awards' focus on responsible, ethical, or sustainable travel.
  • Self-nominations and third-party nominations are accepted, including submissions from PR agencies, tour operators, and tourist boards.
  • By entering a category, shortlisted entrants agree to be available for contact by the Spanish Tourist Office PR team (via mobile phone or email) and, where possible, to attend the awards ceremony.

Shortlisted entrants will be invited to the Spain Talks 2026 Awards Ceremony, taking place on Tuesday 21st of April 2026 at the Spanish Embassy in London, where winners will be announced.
