The Peninsula Motoring Series Debuts in Europe, Bringing the Brand's Renowned Luxury Hospitality to the Scottish Highlands

The Peninsula Hotels

As luxury travellers around the world increasingly seek exceptional experiences, they are discovering that the most memorable journeys are not about where you go, but who you meet along the way. This September, The Peninsula Hotels is once again bringing its renowned hospitality beyond its doors and guiding an intimate group of motoring enthusiasts through the Scottish Highlands for six days of winding mountain passes, historic estates, and the kind of shared moments that turn fellow travellers into lasting connections with its newest iteration of The Peninsula Motoring Series, Scotland.

This marks the first time The Peninsula Motoring Series sets off in Europe, following successful drives in Asia (Japan) and North America (California, USA), in years prior. Beginning 21 September 2026, this exquisite drive will welcome a group of motoring enthusiasts for six days of spectacular driving, cultural exploration, and warm camaraderie in the Scottish Highlands. The itinerary is the newest addition to The Peninsula's calendar of worldwide automotive events, which most recently celebrated The Peninsula Classics Best of the Best at The Peninsula Paris in late January.

“These driving experiences reflect our belief that luxury travel today is about depth, not distance,” said Kai Lermen, Senior Vice President, The Peninsula Signature Events. “When we bring The Peninsula to Scotland, we are not just organising a trip, we are fostering a global community of people who share a genuine passion for motoring, discovery, and authentic connection. Participants from our previous experiences tell us that years later, they remain in touch with the friends they made on these journeys. We are creating memories that stay with you long after the road ends.”

Sublime Castles, Majestic Vistas

Beginning at The Peninsula London, where participants will meet, dine, and share stories with their fellow travellers, The Peninsula Motoring Series, Scotland invites enthusiasts to discover the dramatic beauty of the Scottish Highlands. Following a visit to the city's Royal Automobile Club, a flight to Edinburgh delivers guests to the famed Gleneagles estate, where they will encounter the splendid, classic and era-specific vehicles that will be their transport for the rest of the itinerary.

Designed for an intimate group, the six-day expedition winds northward along Highland passes, coastal stretches, and quiet glens, discovering some of Scotland's most breathtaking terrain—the mountains, forests, and mystical lochs of Cairngorms National Park, and the dramatic, elevated Applecross Pass with its sweeping views. Days are spent on exhilarating roads, with pauses for lunch at traditional inns. Guests will enjoy a three-night stay at an exclusive historic estate, surrounded by gardens and woodland. Local produce, regional specialities, and Scotland's whisky heritage are woven throughout, with opportunities to explore charming villages, and take part in time-honoured pursuits like falconry, archery, axe-throwing, and Scotch-tasting.

Participation in The Peninsula Motoring Series, Scotland is priced at GBP 27,500 per car for two guests, which includes five nights' accommodation and all meals and activities during the trip. Those interested in reserving a spot on the trip may contact pse@peninsula.com.
