The 2026 cruising season will soon be underway for luxury small-group adventure cruise operator Kimberley Quest, which has added a brand-new expedition to its impressive line-up.

The season starts on 17th February with a 21-day cruise, one of the region's most extensive itineraries, offering guests ample time to explore the vast Kimberley coastline during the spectacular waterfall season.

Brand new for this year is the 11 Day Exploration Quest, which cruises between Broome and Swift Bay and will set sail on two departures this July.

Highlights include seeing Horizontal Falls, taking a scenic flight over the Mitchell Falls, and visiting Montgomery Reef, Australia's largest inshore reef which creates a mesmerising waterfall effect when the tide falls.

Guests will also spot crocodiles, discover indigenous rock art styles, search for Australia's smallest rock wallaby, swim in freshwater pools, cruise through thousands of islands in the Buccaneer Archipelago, and try their luck at catching the elusive barramundi.

Departures are 14 July (Broome to Swift Bay, Cruise – Fly) and 24 July (Swift Bay to Broome, Fly – Cruise) 2026, with cabins starting at $16,490 AUD.

Kimberley Quest also offers 8, 10 and 14-day adventure cruises, a 4-Day Taste of the Kimberley, and 6-day fishing expeditions towards the end of the season which sell out many months in advance.

Kimberley Quest is a multi-award-winning cruise operator showcasing the rugged and pristine beauty of Western Australia's otherworldly Kimberley region onboard purpose-built vessel Kimberley Quest II.

The 25-metre vessel accommodates just 18 guests and seven crew members, allowing the crew to tailor each cruise to guest preferences. Fully air-conditioned and equipped with a helipad, spa and large ensuite cabins, guests experience some of the most remote locations on Earth in stylish and intimate surrounds.

The vessel has recently been fitted with brand-new Volvo Penta D13 six-cylinder engines, known for fuel efficiency and low emissions. The upgrade is expected to deliver up to a 25% reduction in fuel consumption and significantly reduce environmental footprint.

Equipped with these new engines and following a full galley refit, Kimberley Quest II is primed for another fantastic season of unforgettable adventures.

Clare Marquis, General Manager at Kimberley Quest, said: “I'm excited for the upcoming season and the introduction of our new 11 Day Exploration Quest, which showcases the remarkable biodiversity and spectacular highlights of Swift Bay, Scott Strait, and the Prince Regent River, alongside some of the Kimberley's most iconic destinations.”

Kimberley Quest is part of the Pinnacle Travel Group portfolio, which also delivers experiences through The Great Escape Charter Co, Rottnest Fast Ferries, Whale Watching Perth, Lancelin 4x4 Adventures and more.

Luke Crispin, Founding Director of Pinnacle Travel Group, said: “Pinnacle Travel Group is driven by a desire to showcase the best of Western Australia, and our new 11 Day Exploration Quest is a testament to that, showcasing and immersing guests in the pristine wilderness of the Kimberley.

“Our expert Kimberley Quest crew live and breathe the region, and they're dedicated to providing our guests with unparalleled and unforgettable experiences along the otherworldly Kimberley coast.”
