PURE ONE, the UK-based specialist travel and media group, has announced a new partnership with Inflammatory Arthritis, marking a deeply personal and values-driven commitment to raising awareness of inflammatory arthritis and supporting those affected by the condition.

The partnership has been led directly by PURE ONE Founder and CEO Wesley Baker, whose son Thomas was diagnosed in 2017 with Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (Systemic JIA) at the age of 12. At diagnosis, Thomas had severe inflammatory involvement in 47 joints, a life-altering condition that has shaped the family's journey ever since.

Systemic JIA is a rare and aggressive form of inflammatory arthritis that primarily affects children and young people, often accompanied by systemic symptoms including high fevers and organ involvement. Despite its severity, awareness and understanding of the condition remain limited.

For Baker, the partnership is more than a corporate initiative; it is a long-standing personal crusade.

“When your child is diagnosed with a condition like Systemic JIA, your world changes overnight,” said Wesley Baker.
“You quickly realise how little public understanding there is, how under-recognised inflammatory arthritis can be, and how vital charities like Inflammatory Arthritis are for families navigating incredibly difficult journeys. This partnership is something I've wanted to formalise for a long time.”

Through the partnership, PURE ONE will actively support Inflammatory Arthritis through awareness-building initiatives across its travel, media, and content platforms, alongside longer-term fundraising and advocacy activity. The collaboration aligns closely with PURE ONE's belief that travel, business, and storytelling can be forces for positive social impact beyond commercial outcomes.
