Château Eza, Côte d'Azur South of France
More hideaway than hotel, Château Eza comprises 14 rooms scattered across the pedestrianised medieval village of Èze, perched high above the Côte d'Azur. From its cliff top vantage point, views of the Mediterranean stretches toward Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and are best enjoyed from the Michelin-starred restaurant or candlelit wine cave carved into the rock.
Throughout February, the hotel offers a pared-back Valentine's stay including an overnight in a double room with breakfast, welcome cocktails, an in-room sweet treat and petals on arrival. Rates start from approximately £350 per night. On 14 February, Executive Chef Justin Schmitt will present a dedicated, romantic dinner menu, priced at £160 per person, excluding beverages.
O2 Beach Club & Spa, Barbados
Set on Barbados' quieter south coast, the fully inclusive O2 Beach Club & Spa invites guests to create unforgettable moments with limited time romance offers. Couples staying seven nights or more can opt for a complimentary wedding ceremony on the beach, while a Proposal Concierge service ensure a seamless experience, complete with discreet proposal photography, private dinners, violinists and more.
For Valentine's Day, O2 Beach Club & Spa is celebrating a “Week of Love” from February 8–13 and 15, offering couples a Private Bubble Dinner Experience. The evening includes pre-dinner canapés, a three-course meal, and a bottle of Moët Imperial Brut, all served inside a softly lit dome overlooking the sea. Priced at £900 per couple.
Hôtel Martinez, Cannes
Few hotels are as closely tied to cinema as Hôtel Martinez, long-time host of the Cannes Film Festival jury dinner. Cinematic influences are woven throughout the property, and its penthouse apartments (which interconnect to be among the largest in Europe) were designed in collaboration with French cinematic icons Thierry Frémaux and Isabelle Huppert.
On 14 February, the hotel offers an overnight Valentine's experience in the Isabelle Huppert Penthouse, including breakfast, a bespoke dinner menu, champagne and private butler service. The package is priced at approximately £10,300 for two.
Hotel La Perla, The Dolomites
Family-run and quietly assured, Hotel La Perla sits at the heart of South Tyrol's Alta Badia with ski-in, ski-out access and uninterrupted Dolomite views. Interiors lean alpine rather than ostentatious, complete with a spa and one of the region's strongest culinary offerings, including Michelin-starred La Stüa de Michil and Incö Table. It suits couples drawn to alpine air and quiet rhythm, with mornings on the slopes, long lunches, and evenings centred around firelit dining and true Italian hospitality.
Hotel La Posta, Tuscany
Reopened as a five-star property in March 2025, Hotel La Posta is a discreet wellness retreat in Bagno Vignoni, set within the UNESCO-listed Val d'Orcia. Away from Tuscany's main tourist routes, the hotel combines privacy with easy access to historic villages, vineyards, and regional food and wine culture. Housed in a traditional Tuscan casa, it blends classic Italian character with contemporary comfort, while thermal pools fed by natural hot springs form the heart of the experience. With views across the Val d'Orcia by day and clear night skies after dark, it offers couples a calm, understated escape rooted in landscape and wellbeing rather than overt romance.
Crown & Champa Resorts, The Maldives
The Maldives endures as one of the world's most evocative destinations for romance, defined by space, stillness and a feeling of complete escape. Crown & Champa Resorts' portfolio, including Jawakara Islands Maldives, Veligandu Maldives Resort Island, Kagi Maldives Resort & Spa, Hurawalhi Island Resort and Kudadoo Maldives Private Island, offers a distinct expression of island life from wellness-led retreats to ultra-private, all-inclusive seclusion.
At Jawakara, Valentine's programming remains intentionally low-key, favouring in-villa floating breakfasts, candlelit beach cabana dinners and informal sandside barbecues with live music, allowing couples to shape the experience rather than follow a script.
Dunia Baru, Indonesia
A hand-built phinisi superyacht, Dunia Baru offers a form of romance defined by intention rather than itinerary. Sailing through Indonesia's most remote waters, days unfold through unhurried swims, reef dives and quiet moments on deck, while evenings culminate in candlelit dinners prepared by a private chef on uninhabited islands. For couples marking Valentine's Day, a honeymoon or a significant anniversary, Dunia Baru delivers a once in a lifetime holiday, with no crowds, no schedules and no distractions.
Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni, Lake Como
Occupying one of Bellagio's most recognisable lakefront positions, Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni remains a family-owned classic, defined by formal salons, water-facing terraces and a sense of continuity rarely found on Lake Como today. While closed over the winter Valentine's period, it remains a benchmark for anniversaries and milestone celebrations later in the season, when days are spent drifting between lakeside towns and evenings end with aperitivo overlooking the water.
Hawar Resort by Mantis, Bahrain
Set on a protected island just off Bahrain's coast, Hawar Resort by Mantis offers a slower, more elemental kind of romance. Beachfront and overwater villas open directly onto sea and sky, while days are shaped by coastal walks, wildlife encounters and spa rituals that draw on the island's natural surroundings. The emphasis is on simplicity, warmth and shared experience rather than spectacle.
