20 Jan 2026
A new year goes hand in hand with the best of intentions for a healthy lifestyle, but as we hit mid-January, we may start to struggle a little to stick with the new routines and ambitions. The solution is to plan ahead, book an active holiday in the sun – much better than dark January days anyhow. BeyondBeach is offering fitness weeks in Kefalonia and active family holidays in the French mountains.
Yoga: On the beach and in the sea.
Running from 11 – 16 June 2026 at BeyondBeach's Lixouri Bay Beach Club, the week offers daily yoga sessions across multiple styles, all whilst overlooking the turquoise Ionian Sea. Because downward dog just hits differently when there's a sea breeze involved. The week includes full access to water sports (paddle boarding counts as core work, surely?)
Packages start at £660 per person, or £820 for single occupancy. Five nights including breakfast and three evening meals. Included are daily yoga & meditation classes, plus unlimited water sports, tuition and use of equipment. Flights and transfers are not included.

Walking Week: Extend the summer in September
For those who prefer their fitness with a side of dramatic landscapes and local taverna stops, the Walking Week runs from 17 – 24 September, also at the Lixouri Bay Beach Club. Guided walks take in Kefalonia's countryside and stunning coastline in small personable groups with knowledgeable guides.
Packages start at £810 per person or £995 single occupancy, for seven nights including breakfast and four evening meals + packed lunches for walking days. Five days of guided walking including transport to walking trails. Flights and transfers are not included.

Alpine Club: Tour de France Meets Family Fun
Here's where it gets properly exciting. BeyondBeach's Alpine Club in Vaujany opens on 18 July – perfectly timed to coincide with not one but two Alpe d'Huez stages of the Tour de France on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 July. The Alpe d'Huez stages are among the most iconic Tour de France stages and this year, they are the two last stages before Paris, and are bound to determine who will ride into Paris wearing the leader's yellow jersey.
The legendary climb is just a short drive away, or guests can take the gondola up and over for prime viewing spots. For cycling enthusiasts, it's also an achievable (if challenging) ride from the chalet – though no promises are made on how your legs still work the next day.
The 10-room large chalet offers families a perfect base to enjoy free activities such as white-water rafting, hiking, biking, the tree top adventure park, a bike & skate park, slides and zip lines.
The Alpine Club packages start at £875 per person for seven nights including breakfast, afternoon tea and three evening meals. All above mentioned activities are free, plus a 3-day lift pass for the local mountains. Travel to Vaujany is not included – parking is free of charge for self-drives.
