When asked which famous living person they would like to cruise with, Iglu customers named Sir David Attenborough their number one choice. Customers appear keen on the chance to find out more about his incredible life and work in the natural world. 

What's more, why, how and where customers book cruises are all revealed in Iglu Cruise's 2025 survey, completed in October and November 2025 by almost 4,500 respondents.

Key Findings

• 40% said they intend to cruise more in 2026 compared to 2025.

• The top three reasons for cruising are the itinerary (80%), food and drink (71%), and ease and convenience of travel (64%). 

• 75% said they would not trust an AI tool to research a holiday.

• Cruisers mostly look forward to a new destination (79%), followed by good service (73%) and food (71%). 

• We also asked which bloggers they follow, and the most popular was Emma Cruises. 

Iglu Cruise will continue to conduct this survey annually to track trends in the cruise sector and refine its offerings accordingly.

Chief Commercial Officer at Iglu Cruise, Dave Mills said, 'Whilst it's good to have year on year comparisons of many of these questions, so we can see trends, it's fun to have asked some more creative questions, such as which cruise TV show influenced our bookers, what vloggers they watch on YouTube and which famous person they'd like to cruise with. As always, we listen closely to our customers and adjust our approach accordingly. Not sure we can definitely deliver the celebrities of choice, but you never know...'
