The Landing is named best luxury hotel or resort in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific in the 2025 Luxury Travel Gold List Awards.

The Landing is delighted to announce it has been awarded Best Luxury Hotel or Resort – Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific at this year's Luxury Travel Gold List Awards.

The awards are chosen annually by Luxury Travel magazine, which was established in 2000 and is Australia's longest-running consumer publication dedicated to the high-end travel sector.

They span diverse categories across accommodation, hospitality, experiences and travel services, with every winner showing a commitment to excellence and a dedication to unforgettable journeys, whether through serene retreats, bold new design, cultural immersion or personalised service.

Located in the beautiful Bay of Islands, in the north of Aotearoa New Zealand, The Landing is a hidden jewel, set on a private peninsula with a rich cultural history as the site of the first community where Māori people and Europeans lived together.

Four architecturally designed homes, known as The Residences, sit within The Landing's 1000-acre property. Each Residence is a refined retreat set in a unique landscape. Spacious and relaxed, they can cater to small or large groups, providing privacy, total flexibility, and attentive personal service.

A private chef is available to cater all meals. On-site activities available to guests include wine tastings at the award-winning winery, vineyard tours, kayaking, paddleboarding, biking, tennis, and guided archaeological or kiwi-spotting walks, all of which are included in each stay.
