On December 12, guests will have the rare opportunity to join an exclusive workshop led by Nicolai Bergmann, creating bespoke floral boxes adorned with Hakata-ori, Fukuoka's iconic traditional textile. The intricate patterns of Hakata-ori, combined with the hotel's design concept inspired by Kyushu's rich cultural heritage and Bergmann's sophisticated aesthetic, will offer an unparalleled experience found only at The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka.
In addition, during this festive season, a portion of the proceeds from our Christmas Afternoon Tea will be donated to Hakata-ori DC, a cultural institution dedicated to nurturing future artisans of this treasured craft. Through this event, The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka and Nicolai Bergmann aim to celebrate the beauty of Hakata-ori while contributing to the preservation and advancement of local traditions.

This winter, The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka invites guests to immerse themselves in the artistry of world-renowned floral designer Nicolai Bergmann—Fukuoka City's “One Flower Ambassador” and celebrated for his solo exhibition in Dazaifu. At an exclusive event blending Bergmann's signature floral design with a festive dining experience curated by our Michelin-starred chef, guests will enjoy a truly luxurious celebration of the season.
On Friday, December 12, Bergmann will host a limited workshop featuring bespoke floral boxes adorned with exquisite Hakata-ori silk fabrics crafted by Nishimura Orimono. This collaboration reflects the hotel's design concept of “weaving,” inspired by Kyushu's rich textile heritage, and Bergmann's refined aesthetic, creating an unparalleled experience found only at The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka.
The following day, Saturday, December 13, a senior trainer from Tokyo will lead a Christmas tree workshop, offering guests another opportunity to embrace the joy and beauty of the holiday season.
