Lisbon is gearing up for an exceptional year of music as the 2026 editions of Rock in Rio Lisboa and NOS Alive unveil some of the biggest global names set to perform in the city next summer.

Rock in Rio Lisboa returns over the last two weekends of June, 20-21 June and 27-28 June, at Parque Tejo, one of Lisbon's largest waterfront venues overlooking the Tagus River. The festival has already revealed a standout selection of international headliners. Katy Perry will open the first weekend, followed by Linkin Park with new vocalist Emily Armstrong. Rod Stewart also joins the line-up, bringing a well-loved UK favourite to Lisbon, alongside leading Portuguese artists such as Xutos & Pontapés, GNR and UHF.

Just weeks later, NOS Alive returns to Passeio Marítimo de Algés from 9-11 July, bringing another wave of major international artists. The 2026 line-up features Foo Fighters, Florence + The Machine, Lorde, Twenty One Pilots, Pixies, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Teddy Swims - a mix that firmly reinforces the festival's reputation as one of Europe's top summer events and a favourite among UK festival-goers.

Together, the two headline festivals attract hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, enabling visitors to combine world-class music with a summer break in Lisbon. With more artist announcements expected from both organisers, 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting music seasons the city has seen.

In addition to these major events, music lovers can also explore Sumol Summer Fest in July and Ageas Cooljazz, which brings a series of outdoor concerts to Cascais throughout the month, with dates to be confirmed. O Sol da Caparica, held in August, will once again celebrate Lusophone music and beach culture, while Jazz em Agosto is also set to return in August, with dates and programme details to be announced.
