From Sun Loungers to Solar Power: Club Marvy Wins Global Gold for Responsible Tourism

London, November 2025
Once loved simply for its laid-back Aegean vibe, the eco-chic Turkish resort Club Marvy has now been crowned one of the most responsible hotels on Earth. The resort, on Türkiye's unspoilt Aegean coast, has scooped Gold at the 2025 Global Responsible Tourism Awards in London, placing it among the world's most pioneering sustainable destinations.

Organised by the International Centre for Responsible Tourism (ICRT) and sponsored by Sabre, the awards honour hotels that combine luxury with conscience. Club Marvy impressed the judges in the All-Inclusive category for proving that style, comfort and sustainability can thrive together without compromise.

Emeritus Professor Harold Goodwin, founder of ICRT Global, praised this year's winners as “exceptional examples of innovation and creative solutions,” adding that responsible tourism is about “making better places for people to live in and visit.”

Luxury That Gives Back to Nature

What makes Club Marvy stand out is its harmony with nature. Every decision, from what ends up on your plate to how water and energy are used, is guided by sustainability. The resort powers itself with clean solar energy, reuses treated water to nurture its lush gardens, and even turns kitchen waste into renewable energy.

Judges highlighted its commitment to local gastronomy and culture, noting how it champions small Aegean farmers, traditional recipes and organic ingredients. Annual harvest celebrations such as the Pomegranate Festival and BollamaCelebration invite guests to join local communities, showing that being green can also be delicious.

“We Bring the Spirit of Nature into Marvy's Soul”

Ece Tonbul, Chairwoman and CEO of Paloma Hotels Group, said:
“We are incredibly proud that Club Marvy has been recognised globally as a role model in sustainable tourism. This success belongs to everyone who believes in our journey — our guests, our team and our community. Sustainability isn't a marketing term for us; it's a way of life. From harnessing the sun to protecting the soil, we bring the spirit of nature into Marvy's soul.”

A Global Model for All Inclusive Done Right

Holding the highest Level 3 Sustainable Tourism Certification under the Global Sustainable Tourism Council standards, Club Marvy offers a holiday that is both indulgent and planet friendly. Its operations now prevent over 33,000 tons of carbon emissions each year, the equivalent of saving half a million trees.

With silent electric buggies, zero-waste kitchens, and solar energy powering nine Paloma Hotels across Türkiye, Club Marvy is redefining what all-inclusive luxury can be.

As British travellers increasingly look for destinations that feel good and do good, Club Marvy stands as proof that paradise can, in fact, have a purpose.

To celebrate the global win, the resort has launched early booking offers for 2026, inviting UK guests to experience its award-winning Sustainable All-Inclusive concept first-hand.
