St. Pancras International unveils its spectacular Christmas Tree in partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity

Experience a festive wonder as children's dreams come to life through hand-painted baubles and notes in the St. Pancras International Christmas Tree

London: 3rd November 2025 - St. Pancras International has officially unveiled its much-loved Christmas Tree for 2025, partnering with Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity) to shine a light on the hopes and dreams of seriously ill children and to raise vital funds throughout the festive period.

At the heart of the festivities stands a station first – a gently rotating, 12-metre high Christmas tree inspired by a music box celebrating the rich musical heritage of the station, while bringing to life the Christmas dreams of the children of GOSH. This year's theme, "Powered by Dreams”, brings together generations to share in the wonder and potential of childhood.

An unmissable Christmas destination

Visitors can experience the wonder of a truly unique Music Box Christmas Tree, standing 12-metres high in the Grade 1 listed station, designed to captivate all who pass through. A visual and audio celebration, the golden hued tree is influenced by vintage music boxes, topped by a spectacular illuminated ballerina. This is inspired by a real ballerina from the GOSH Charity-funded GOSH Arts programme, who visits children and their families on the wards at the hospital. The tree will be in the station from Monday 3rd November until early January.

In addition to inviting seating areas at the base of the tree where visitors can relax and enjoy some music, specially designed windows will illuminate the Christmas hopes and dreams of the children. This year children at GOSH have been invited to draw pictures of their wishes for the future. Whether that's becoming an Olympic gymnast, a pilot, or to travel into outer space, visitors will be able to view the personal stories and aspirations of the children.

38 children at GOSH have submitted their Christmas dreams and brought their imagination to life by hand drawing those dreams onto baubles to adorn the tree. Follow the story of how their written dreams go on a journey through the workings of the music box and - with a little Christmas magic - be transformed into the ascending spiral of baubles.

By showcasing the dreams and imagination of GOSH's young patients, St. Pancras International invites visitors to be inspired by their creativity and resilience, and to celebrate the extraordinary potential in every child.

For those children and their families at GOSH who are unable to visit the full-size tree in St. Pancras International, a scaled down replica will be installed within the hospital.

Features of the tree:

  • Musical Moment: Take a break from the bustle of the station and immerse yourself in the soothing music played from the seating area in the base of the Music Box.
  • Accessible: Braille on the music box key and by the buttons to activate music will help to make the tree more accessible to the visually impaired.
  • Ornamental Clockwork Winder: A festive photo opportunity, perfect for families and friends to capture memories.
  • Dream Windows: A ballerina will magically guide the children's dreams on their journey, through the 'dream machine' to transform into baubles adorning the tree.
  • Fundraising: Donation mechanics will be available at the base of the tree, and visitors can discover more about the incredible work of GOSH and how your support can help make Christmas feel like Christmas for children and their families at the hospital.

Development information:

  • The tree's construction involved 30 craftspeople and took over 1,800 hours to complete.
  • The structure features 158 spiraling baubles that are illuminated by the warming glow of 180m of fairy lights.
  • 38 children from GOSH participated in this project by painting their personal dreams onto individual baubles to tell a story of hope this Christmas. These can be seen ascending the tree alongside baubles featuring familiar seasonal and GOSH designs.
  • The finished tree contains 24 metres of fabric, crafted from an impressive 576 metres that passed through the sewing machine as the team overlocked and stitched each panel together

Wendy Spinks, Chief Commercial Officer at St. Pancras Highspeed, said:

“The St. Pancras International Christmas Tree is a highlight of London's festive calendar. Our partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity for 2025 brings an extra layer of meaning and magic, and we are so pleased that children at GOSH were able to play such a big part in this year's tree. We look forward to welcoming guests from near and far to experience the wonder, and to support an extraordinary cause.”

Gabi Field, Deputy Director of Public Fundraising at Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, said: “Every Christmas, staff at Great Ormond Street Hospital work around the clock to bring magical moments to children and families on the ward - from Christmas crafts and carol singing to present deliveries for each child on Christmas Eve. This year, we at Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity are delighted to be partnering with St. Pancras International to help bring some of this childhood magic to the station, all with creative input from seriously ill children at GOSH.

Across the 'Powered by Dreams' tree, commuters can spot heartfelt references to the hospital, including hand-decorated baubles made by children, braille to represent patients with sensory loss, and a ballerina, inspired by a real dancer who spreads joy across the wards at GOSH. There will also be opportunities to donate to help make Christmas feel like Christmas for the children whose treatment needs to continue over the festive season.”

Christmas at St. Pancras International

The St. Pancras International Christmas Tree and station festivities have been a London staple for well-over a decade, frequently featured as one of the best Christmas attractions in London. Each year St. Pancras International strives to surprise and delight UK visitors and has a reputation for iconic partners and designs. From last year's impactful partnership with Wicked to the beautifully romantic Bookmas Tree in 2023.

The station comes alive during the festive season, and the tree is just one part of that; from impromptu performances by international music stars on the celebrated piano, surprise events, visits from Santa and of course the exclusive Christmas retail, food and beverage offering.

Supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital, because every moment matters

Every visitor to the tree can help make a difference. Funds raised will go directly to GOSH, helping to provide world-class care and magical moments for children and their families.

This year, there are seriously ill children who won't get to spend Christmastime at home.

These kids will be at Great Ormond Street Hospital instead. Childhood Christmases shouldn't be spent on a ward. But when they have to be, GOSH does everything it can to make it feel like home.
