This autumn marks a landmark moment for South Lodge, the luxury hotel and spa in Horsham, Sussex, as the estate celebrates the first-ever harvest from its on-site vineyard, planted three years ago in collaboration with Ridgeview English Sparkling Wine. The milestone signals the next phase of a remarkable partnership - one that now extends beyond the glass, into the world of sustainable skincare and into the hotel's spa.

In 2021, South Lodge and Ridgeview planted two bespoke vineyards within the hotel's grounds, bringing together two Sussex icons united by a shared commitment to craftsmanship and sustainability and high quality product. This October, the first grapes have been hand-harvested and transported to Ridgeview's state-of-the-art winery, where they will be transformed into a unique English Sparkling Wine set to be released in 2028. Once matured, the wine will be served exclusively at South Lodge and potentially across the wider Exclusive Collection of hotels.

In a visionary extension of the project, South Lodge has also partnered with Pelegrims, the pioneering English skincare brand that champions vinotherapy and circular beauty. Using by-products from the vineyard, including grape skins, seeds and stems, Pelegrims has developed a bespoke line of treatments for the hotels own Spa. The antioxidant-rich extracts are known for their rejuvenating properties, making this partnership the first of its kind in the UK to transform an onsite working vineyard's natural by-products into spa-grade skincare.

Three new vinotherapy treatments, Fresh Leaf Fusion Face & Body Treatment (£175), Vine Leaf & Herbal Infusion Poultice Massage (£155) and Grapevine Face and Body Glow, (£155) are available from November 1st exclusively at South Lodge.
