(CAORLE, ITALY) — The Cavallino Bianco Group, a luxury, Italian family hotel brand, announces the opening of the Group's second resort, Cavallino Bianco Caorle – Venezia in May 2026. Set in the Venetian seaside town of Caorle with idyllic views of the Adriatic Sea, the five-star resort continues the Cavallino Bianco Group's mission to redefine luxury family tourism through thoughtful design, the services and activities offered and the approach of the entire hospitality team.
“For years, we have sought a place that truly reflected the founding values of Cavallino Bianco. In Caorle, we discovered authenticity, a harmonious landscape, warm hospitality, and an open community. What we were looking for was not simply a location, but a shared identity”, says Ralph A. Riffeser, the creative force behind the Cavallino Bianco Group. “We believe the balance of shared time is crucial to a meaningful family holiday and shared well-being. Ideally, balance is achieved across four fundamental pillars: family time, kids time, self time and two time - for significant others to reconnect. It's the core of the Cavallino Bianco philosophy, and we look forward to sharing it with families around the world when Cavallino Bianco Caorle-Venezia opens.”
Just a one-hour drive or a 30-minute train from Venice, the charming hamlet of Caorle is known as “little Venice” and renowned for its pristine beaches that have achieved Blue Flag designation year-over-year since 2008 for environmental sustainability.
Overlooking the Blue Flag beach, with no physical barriers separating the resort from the sea, Cavallino Bianco Caorle – Venezia will feature 101 luxury suites ranging from nearly 500 to over 1,200-square-feet, each with a private terrace with sea view or direct sea front. All guest rooms are designed to ensure comfort, privacy and autonomy for modern families with décor inspired by the surrounding pine forest and coastal light.
Additional suite features include:
- two bathrooms - one of which is child-friendly with baby amenities and a changing table
- a fully equipped pantry
- separate areas for adults and children
- smart facilities
The heart of the experience will be the private beach spanning over 12 acres, a unique feature within the Italian hospitality market, with lockable cabanas nestled among soft dunes scented with Mediterranean shrubs, equipped with king-size beds, chairs with tables, mini-fridges, safes, play areas, and direct sea access.
Inside the resort, a wellness center of over 43,000-square-feet offers heated pools, saunas, a beauty farm, holistic treatments and an adults-only rooftop spa featuring an infinity pool overlooking the Adriatic Sea.
Children and teens ages 0 to 17 can enjoy access to Lino Land, an indoor and outdoor kids club offering educational programs, creative workshops, a theater and gym facilities.
The architectural design draws inspiration from Venetian tradition, reinterpreted with a contemporary touch: harmonious façades, light volumes, warm tones, turrets, and large windows. Interiors alternate elegant simplicity with a homely warmth, combining natural materials, soft fabrics, and functional design. Every choice reflects the aim of creating an environment that fosters connection between parents and children, and between people and nature.
Gastronomy at Cavallino Bianco Caorle - Venezia revolves around three restaurants. The family friendly concept offers a rich buffet and a spacious terrace for a convivial family atmosphere. Marco Polo, the adults-only restaurant, is elegant and creates an oasis among the trees with refined indoor and outdoor spaces. The littlest guests can also look forward to a safe and playful restaurant exclusively dedicated to children with a menu tailored to their needs and desires.
Other resort amenities include:
- a covered garage with 170 parking spaces to make a family road trip exploring the Italian coast and countryside easier
- an onsite boutique
- a bike hub for more localized exploring
- “work-on-holiday” spaces
“We are not a hotel chain. Our model is independent, fully funded internally, with no external partners or investment funds. This allows for consistency of vision and design freedom reflected in every detail,” emphasized Ralph A. Riffeser. “We have rejected compromise in favor of integrity, investing in quality, sustainability, and long-term durability.”
The first resort project by the Cavallino Bianco Group, Cavallino Bianco Val Gardena – Dolomiti in Ortisei, was conceived from Riffeser's vision between 2001 and 2005, and it has repeatedly been recognized as the world's best family hotel by booking platforms like TripAdvisor and leading industry publications. The new Caorle resort represents its evolution: a destination set to elevate Italian seaside hospitality while strengthening the mountain-to-sea duality with experiential synergies. Bookings are already open with early booking options available.
“We aim to create places where a holiday is not just a pause, but an opportunity to reconnect, rejuvenate, and experience lasting emotions. Caorle will embody this: a new horizon for families, guided by respect, beauty, and Italian excellence.

About Cavallino Bianco Profile
The “deus ex machina” behind Cavallino Bianco is third-generation South Tyrolean entrepreneur Ralph A. Riffeser, Sole Director and General Manager of Cavallino Bianco Val Gardena – Dolomiti in Ortisei, South Tyrol, Italy. Recognized as one of the world's best luxury family hotels and a pioneer of this hospitality concept, his visionary approach transformed the family hotel into an international icon of family-oriented hospitality, redefining the standards of excellence in the sector.
Since 1993, Ralph A. Riffeser has served as General Manager and Sole Director of the property. Between 2001 and 2005, he completely demolished and rebuilt the hotel with a fully family-funded investment, giving life to an innovative philosophy based on the value of shared time, the quality of relationships, and a discreet yet refined and functional concept of luxury.
At the heart of his model lies the idea of a “family hotel” as a true “oasis of family regeneration.” From the Dolomites to the sea, Ralph A. Riffeser now writes a new chapter with Cavallino Bianco Caorle – Venezia, the group's first Luxury Family Beach Resort, bringing to the seaside the expertise and values cultivated in the Dolomites. This project was born from both professional and personal motivation and is the result of 20 years of experience and more than 15 years of research. Overlooking the beach and surrounded by pine forest, the resort is conceived as a destination tailored for families, where design, nature, and top-quality services merge into a unique offering within the European hospitality landscape.
Cavallino Bianco Philosophy
The project is based on solid expertise in the sector and stems from a clear vision: to offer families a place where shared time becomes the true luxury. “It's Family Time – Live it Now” is more than a slogan — it is an invitation to fully embrace the present and to recognize and nurture the value of time spent together. Conceived by Ralph A. Riffeser, this approach underpins the organization of spaces, the activities offered, the services, and the entire hospitality team. The tangible symbol of this philosophy is the Tree of Balanced Vacation, which welcomes guests in the lobby; its branches represent the four fundamental dimensions of a holiday: shared time between parents and children, experiences with peers, personal space, and couple moments. The goal is to inspire a natural balance among all these experiences. In this way, every stay becomes a holistic and tailor-made journey that goes far beyond a simple break — an opportunity to reconnect, recharge, and create unforgettable memories.
