The Santa Steam Express features an interactive travelling theatre that brings the spirit of Christmas to life during a circular steam journey through the heart of London, complete with Santa, and his merry band of elves.

Running on Saturday 20th December and Monday 22nd December 2025, this enchanting 90-minute steam-hauled experience offers four departures each day (morning, late morning, afternoon, and early evening) giving families the chance to experience the wonder of Christmas aboard beautifully restored vintage carriages.

As the train gently steams through London's suburbs, guests will be immersed in a joyful festive atmosphere filled with music, laughter, and the unforgettable moment of meeting Santa himself. Children will delight as Santa and his merry elves make their way through the train, sharing stories, singing carols, and delivering a traditional gift to every child. All children will receive a snack and drink, and adults can relax and enjoy freshly brewed tea or coffee and a festive mince pie, all served by Steam Dreams' friendly stewards.

Passengers can choose from three different classes of travel:

Coach Class – from £55 per person
Sit back and relax in a lovingly decorated 1950s or 1960s carriage seated around tables for four, with large picture windows. Best suited to parties of four or eight.

Club Class – from £75 per person
Sink into cushioned seating around spacious tables for two or four and admire your festively adorned 1950s or 1960s carriage, complete with vintage table lamps and curtains. Best suited to parties of two, four, or six.

Private Compartment – from £600 per compartment (up to six guests)
Passengers can enjoy the luxury of their own private 1950s-style compartment, featuring wood-paneled walls and charming period details, resplendent with festive decorations.
