Brazil to host REMOTE Immersion, Highlighting Responsible Tourism in Latin America

REMOTE Latin America

From October 20 to 23, 2025, approximately 220 tourism professionals from 24 countries will gather in Alto Paraíso de Goiás for REMOTE Immersion Chapada dos Veadeiros. Organized by REMOTE Latin America, this annual itinerant gathering promotes responsible, independent, and nature-based tourism in Latin America and the Caribbean, connecting distinctive accommodations and premium Destination Management Companies (DMCs) from the region with high-end travel advisors from around the world. Besides a networking event, REMOTE Immersion's core mission is to place remote destinations on the international tourism map with consciousness and responsibility.

Celebrating its 9th edition, REMOTE Immersion will unite Latin America enthusiasts in Chapada dos Veadeiros, Goiás, in the heart of Brazil. Alongside business and connections, the gathering seeks to elevate the destination's presence on the international stage. Over three and a half days, REMOTERS will combine business meetings with activities in the Chapada, connecting with residents, learning about quilombola culture, and experiencing the adventures and rich biodiversity of the Cerrado – the Brazilian savanna.

“Chapada dos Veadeiros is an incredible, inspiring destination that aligns perfectly with the kind of tourism REMOTE seeks to promote: small-scale, high-end, remote, and authentic, designed for travelers in search of transformative experiences,” says Roberto Bitelman, Director of REMOTE Latin America. “With the support of our Host Destination, Goiás Tourism Board, and Embratur – the Brazilian Tourist Board, we are designing an event that will make participants fall in love with this unique destination,” he adds.

The REMOTE Immersion format has become a proven success among leading tourism professionals, combining business meetings, immersive destination experiences, innovative content and talks through REMOTE Talks & Seeds, as well as social moments that foster learning, deep connections, and long-lasting relationships.

This edition will feature 77 independent accommodations and DMCs from 12 Latin American and Caribbean countries, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, Peru, St. Barth, and Uruguay. They will meet with 80 travel designers from 16 countries, including Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Peru, Singapore, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, Argentina, and Brazil.

“We consistently invest in a careful curation process to diversify our participants while connecting high-end travel designers from around the world with unique experiences and accommodations across Latin America,” explains Marcelo Pontes, Director of REMOTE Latin America.

REMOTE Legacy: Inviting the Local Community

REMOTE Immersion Chapada dos Veadeiros also reaffirms its commitment to a purpose-driven model, underpinned by a sustainability strategy inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) Criteria. The event includes initiatives to reduce environmental impacts and enhance benefits for the destination, such as consulting and knowledge exchange with local suppliers, eliminating single-use plastics, promoting conscious energy and water use, and celebrating local culture and natural heritage. In partnership with Compensei, REMOTE Immersion Chapada dos Veadeiros will achieve carbon neutrality.

REMOTE Legacy, a free and open community event, will take place on October 22 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (BRT) as part of REMOTE's mission to create a positive impact. Conducted in Portuguese, the gathering will provide a space for inspiration and exchange among tourism professionals, students, and local residents interested in exploring pathways toward more responsible tourism. Taking place at the REMOTE Stage, next to Casa da Lua Pousada in Alto Paraíso, invited speakers will address the theme: How Can Chapada dos Veadeiros Better Prepare for International Tourism? REMOTE Legacy is supported by the Alto Paraíso Tourism Office. Spaces are limited, and registration is available at this link.

REMOTE Immersion Chapada dos Veadeiros is sponsored by Goiás Tourism Board, Visit Brasil, Mato Grosso do Sul Tourism Board, INGUAT – Guatemalan Tourism Institute, and BLTA – Brazilian Luxury Travel Association.
