Leading hotel group Choice Hotels International is delighted to announce the continued expansion of its footprint across Australia and New Zealand, with three more properties joining its growing portfolio.

In South Australia, Comfort Inn Robe joins the network, extending Choice Hotels' presence along the scenic Limestone Coast. Meanwhile in Melbourne, the group strengthens its urban offering with the addition of the established: Quality Apartments North Melbourne. Located in the vibrant suburb of North Melbourne, the hotel caters to business and leisure travellers alike and now benefits from the support and reach of the Choice Hotels brand.

On New Zealand's North Island, Choice Hotels has added Comfort Inn Sunset in Thames, a historic town famed for its gold rush heritage, breathtaking natural beauty and lively town centre. Positioned at the gateway to the Coromandel Peninsula, the rebranded Comfort Inn Sunset marks continued growth for Choice Hotels in New Zealand and is the second property for the franchisees Robert and Lisa Davy, who also own Quality Inn Acapulco Taupo.

We're thrilled to expand with Choice Hotels. Our relationship with Choice Hotels began as a way to strengthen the Quality Inn Acapulco business during a challenging time in the market, and it paid off, so we're excited to have another property in the Choice Hotels network,” Robert said.

“With cost-of-living pressures influencing travel habits, Choice Hotels has played a key role in helping us capture the mid-week market, driving stronger occupancy and revenue as a result. With Comfort Inn Sunset joining the portfolio, we know the property will get the support it needs to thrive, from marketing to operational and IT support, as well as access to key corporate travel contacts. There's no way we could do it all on our own.”

Choice Hotels Asia-Pac CEO Trent Fraser said the recent expansions reflect the group's ongoing commitment to delivering diverse and accessible accommodation options across the region.

“We're delighted to welcome these new properties to our growing portfolio. It's a strong endorsement of the Choice Hotels model when franchisees not only stay with us, but choose to grow with us,” Trent said.

“It's especially exciting to see this growth happening across both Australia and New Zealand, with new properties joining us in iconic regional towns as well as key city locations. Each hotel brings its own unique character and guest experience, adding to the strength and diversity of the Choice Hotels Asia-Pac family.

“We're proud to offer a full suite of services that help our franchisees scale efficiently, focus on profitability and tap into the power of our brand. Backed by a strong balance sheet and a flexible model, we're well-positioned to support diversified growth strategies and new development opportunities across the Asia Pacific region.”

These four hotels also join the Choice Privileges program, Choice Hotels' award-winning travel rewards program, where members can earn and redeem points for reward nights at properties across 7,500 Choice-branded hotels, spanning a diverse portfolio of brands in 46 countries and territories.
